Bloomington – December 12th – COMPLETE
Greetings and welcome to the official project blog for the painting project at Devonwood. We are thrilled to be back with you!
Friday, December 12th: As of midday today, the project is a wrap and we want to extend, once again, a huge thank you to all the residents of Devonwood for their incredible cooperation throughout the duration of the project.
We will be allocating some time in the coming days to walk through and designate any areas for touchups.
As always, if you have any questions or would like to help identify any areas for touchups, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Have a great weekend!
Monday, December 8th: Happy Monday Devonwood. Hopefully your weekend was filled with holiday merriment and cheer! It’s business as usual again today with Foyers #1-#14 completed and the fellas likely wrapping up buildings #15/16/17 by day’s end. In the spirit of the project, the cadence of this projects is very reminiscent of the holiday classic, “Linus and Lucy.” We are looking forward to wrapping things up so that all of you can fully settle into the coziness of this holiday season!
Friday, December 5th: As of the end of the day on Thursday, the residents in Buildings #1-#11 no longer have to only dream of a White Christmas, because their foyers have been completed!
The crew will resume work on Buildings #12/13/14 tomorrow and by mid-week next week, all of Devonwood should be cleared to deck the halls with boughs of folly!
With his high wire acts, we might be in danger of losing Manuel to the Ring Ling Brother’s Circus
Jose, aka “Tom Selleck with a paint brush” is extending “Movember” year round!
Wednesday, December 3rd: As evidenced by the death grip Francisco is putting on his hot cup of coffee, one can only discern that Baby, it’s cold outside! Thank goodness, we are painting INSIDE!
By day’s end today, buildings #1-#6 should be completed and we want to thank all the residents for their patience and understanding as they share their foyers with the crew!
Buildings #8 and #9 should be underway and at this rate, we are headed for completion mid to late next week!
Painters by day, professional photographers by night. Who knew foyer painting could be done with such artistry!
Francisco warms up with a cup of Joe before venturing into the foyer for a solid day’s work.
With coffee coursing through his veins, Francisco cuts in with laser precision!
Monday, December 1st: It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas… How on earth is it December already?! We are absolutely delighted to be back onsite with you as we tackle the next phase of painting at Devonwood. This year, we will be painting the entry foyer walls in Buildings #1-#20 (except building #7) and the fellas are off to a great start, as buildings #1/2/3 are underway with an anticipated completion date of Tuesday 12/2. Shortly thereafter, the crew will begin work on building #4/5/6 and if things continue to trend as they are, 3 buildings will be completed every 2 days which means the entire project should be completed in approximately two weeks! Stay tuned right here for daily project updates and thanks again!
Tall ladders and roller extensions are par for the course at Devonwood!
