Essex on the Park - St. Paul
Friday: RAIN DELAY
Greetings and welcome to the official blog for your painting project at Essex on the Park in St. Paul! We are excited to be working with and for you this summer!
Friday, August 18th: It seems we're having a bit of déjà vu- rain and more rain, though tomorrow looks more promising! Lots of happenings around the Twin Cities ~ free movies in the park, numerous farmer's markets, and the St. Paul food truck festival. We're crossing our fingers for drier weekend weather!
Thursday, August 17th: Rain, rain, go away... it seems Mother Nature has alternate plans than for us to continue prepping and painting on your building. We're hoping for clearer skies tomorrow so we can get back at it! We'll be sure to keep you apprised of our return. Thanks!

Rain Delay @ Essex
Tuesday, August 15th: Hello resident of the Essex! We're less than 10 days out from the start of the MN Fair and Today's Al Roker has announced he'll be onsite to live broadcast on opening day, August 24th. There's a chance also to win tickets to the live broadcast. We can already smell the fried goodness.
The crew at Essex is working in the courtyard as well as on the North elevation.
Freddy utilizes the lift the tape off window.
Monday, August 14th: Good afternoon! We hope you all had a great weekend.
The crew got a later start today because of all the rain we got yesterday and overnight. But they're now onsite and working on prepping the surfaces on the West side of the building for painting.
Taping and covering the windows is the first step in painting.
Thursday, August 10th: Good morning residents of Essex on the Park! The crew is kicking off your project today with pressure washing your building. This year's project with consist of prepping and finishing the cement bump outs, cement soffits/overhangs below "Juliet" railings and slider doors, and "Dryvit" window/door perimeters on the courtyard elevation.
The pressure washing will be completed today and once the substrated have had time to dry, the crew will be back onsite to begin prepping and finishing the areas designated for painting. We anticipate this will be on Monday, August 14th.
For your project we'll be utilizing an aerial lift to reach the upper levels of your building. Please exercise caution in these areas and we'll do out part to mark them off appropriately and safely.
We anticipate the project to take about 2 weeks to complete, weather permitting. Stay tuned right here on the blog for project updates and progress, pictures, and any changes to the schedule if they come up.
Thanks and we'll be back onsite on Monday!
