Project Complete

Greetings and welcome to the official blog for this spring's painting project at Waycliffe in Wayzata. We are excited to be back at your association and are looking forward to being onsite on Monday 4/24!

Friday, May 12th: Happy Friday ya'll! We're in store for a gorgeous weekend ahead!

The crew wrapped up last night and should be done except for some touch ups. Thanks so much for working with us and we hope you have a great rest of the year!

Jimmy Fallon's #MOMQUOTES & just in time for Mother's Day!

Thursday, May 11th: Happy Thursday and cheers to a beautiful Minnesota day! Today happens to be the state's 159th Birthday. Minnesota joined the union back in 1858. Today we can celebrate all things Minnesota: 10,000 Lakes, Uff-da & Fargo references, hot dishes, Vikings loyalties, and of course, all of the snow!

This weather has us feeling pretty great and our crews as well! They are set to wrap up tomorrow. Thank you so much for having us and we hope you enjoy your freshly painted buildings. It has been our pleasure working with and for you!

Wednesday, May 10th: Mother's Day is a short 4 days away, so here's your official head's up to get that card for your mom, grandma, aunt, godmother, sister, and all those who share their love, patience, and guidance with us!

The crew was racing against Mother Nature's rain to finish up the 3rd Building and then start prep and painting on the 4th and final Building. Looks like we'll pick right back up tomorrow!

Tuesday, May 9th: Hello residents of Waycliffe! It's trivia Tuesday- who recently tweeted that they'll be commemorating the 20th anniverary of the movie Titanic at the 2017 Billboard Music Awards? If you guessed Canadian superstar Celine Dion, you are correct! She will be singing "My Heart Will Go On" on May 21st to honor the 1997 film.

The crew at Waycliffe is contiuing on Building #3 with taping and prepping and also starting on some of the painting. We're hopful to wrap up by week's end!

Mother Nature has finally dealt us a good hand!

The crew at Waycliffe is finishing up the 625-635 Building today and also completing some touch ups on 645-655.

We're currently working on getting some pictures from the crew.

Friday, May 5th: Happy Cino de Mayo!! We are celebrating the Mexican Army's unlikely victory over the French forces at the Battle of Puebla. We are celebrating Mexican culture with a fiesta lunch for our crews at Roell Painting this afternoon. We want to celebrate Mexican history and have a little fun as well!!

Pictures to come soon!

The crew has completed the first building - 645-655 Waycliffe North and is now working on 625-635 Waycliffe North and they hope to finish on Monday.

Have a great weekend!

Thursday, May 4th:

star wars day

Happy Star Wars Day!

The crews will be finishing up their prep and then starting to paint the first building. We can't tell you enough how great it is to see the sun and these clear skies! Hopefully this weather continues and our crew can stay right on track!

And just like that the crew is finishing up on Building 1. Great work!

Wednesday, May 3rd: Finally, this spring weather is showing up! Just a few days left until the 143rd Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs. This Saturday, the Garland of Roses will be awarded for what's famed to be the "Most Exciting Two Minutes in Sports." So don an extravagant hat & schmancy apparel and grab a Mint Julep to watch the big race. Check out the horses, betting odds, "Derby" party must-haves, and Derby trivia at their official site!

We're glad to be back and reporting project progress after the last few days of rain and weather delays.

The crews are prepping the first building for completion- the 645-655 Waycliffe North Building. This entails caulking, priming, and covering windows, etc before they can paint/spray tomorrow. Prep is a crucial step in all of our projects to ensure precise work and prevent over spray.

Here's to a longer and drier stretch of weather!

Friday, April 28th: Luck is not on our side...though we have blue skies and sunshine, it's still on the cool side to be painting outside. We want to make sure that the surfaces are completely dry before we paint and the cooler weather just doesn't accelerate the drying process quickly enough. We'll keep an eye on the weather and keep you updated on any further delays/updates.

We do have one bit of good news, it's Friday and we hope you all have a great weekend!

"Canned Heat" by Jamiroquai to get the weekend started right!!

Thursday, April 27th: Were those really snow flurries? We can't bare to face these curveballs Mother Nature is throwing at us. So, unfortunately the moisture and low temperatures are going to put a stop on our work for today.

It looks as though we'll have better fortune tomorrow! Until then, stay dry & warm!

Tuesday, April 25th: Good afternoon residents of Waycliffe. We hope you're staying dry on this rainy, spring day. It looks like tomorrow will be rainy as well, so grab that umbrella!

Everything can't be rainbows... but you can have a Unicorn Frappuccino from Starbucks. Maybe you've heard about the latest beverage craze from Seattle's finest, a pink and blue blended drink that is both sweet and sour. Pictures and opinions of this drink have been all over social media. Apparently, there is more to come for coloful and sweet drinks; the latest we heard there is now a Dragon Frappuccino and a Unicorn Lemonade. We haven't gotten our hands on any of the colorful drinks, so we'll leave you to do the taste test.

While you're busy dreaming of a magical Unicorn Frapp, the crew at Waycliffe is continuing to pressure wash the last 2 buildings. The crew completed 2 yesterday and is working against Mother Nature to finish up today.

Stay dry and we'll let you know if there are any rain delays.

First step is to pressure wash the exterior surfaces so the paint has a clean surface to adhere to.

Friday, April 21st: Happy Friday everyone! We are so glad to see the sun is back! Today we are reminded of our beloved Prince and his creativity, success, and the mark he left on the music world and also Minneapolis. Today is the one year anniversary of his death and there are many celebrations to honor his life and legacy happening around the Twin Cities this weekend. Paisley Park has numerous events to celebrate our purple star. Also, First Avenue is hosting a late-night dance party from 10pm-4am tonight if that's your jam!

If you can't make any of the celebrations, here's a clip of Prince's Superbowl Halftime performance from 2007. Turn it up and Let's Go Crazy!

Wear your purple proudly!!

We'll be getting your project underway on Monday, April 24th with pressure washing of 625-635 Waycliffe North and 645-655 Waycliffe North. Then we'll pressure wash 350-360 Waycliffe South and 585-595 Waycliffe North on Tuesday, 4/25th. After the pressure washing is complete we've move on to the prep and painting of the designated buildings.

The scope of this year's project with coincide with last year's painting. We'll be finishing the siding, soffits, fascia, windows, front doors/frames, garage doors/frames, shutters, flower boxes, louvers & corbels. We'll also be completing select decks.

We look forward to being back onsite and we'll see you on Monday!
