The crew will be back as the weather allows – thanks!

Thursday, August 22nd: Greetings!

Today’s the start of the Great Minnesota Get Together and we can just smell the always delightful Sweet Martha’s! We’ve got 12 days to eat our hearts’ desire and explore the sights and scenes at the Fair! Take a look at our own Andrew Zimmern’s Food Fair Strategy:

The crew is starting to stain the decks on the 2nd Building in Phase I.

Wednesday, August 21st: Greetings!

The crew is holding off on staining the decks; they’re just too wet still. They are going around to decks in Phase I and Phase II and sanding the surfaces as applicable so when we get the go-ahead for staining we can get right to staining. Thanks!

Tuesday, August 20th: Good afternoon!

That morning rain kind of came out of no where! Thus, our staining crew will be pressing pause on the staining, but they will continue to pressure wash and strip the decks in Phase II.

Friday, August 16th: Hello and TGIF!

The decks were too wet from the rain to begin staining today. They’ll begin Phase I staining on Monday, 8/19 — please be so kind as to remove furniture from decks for the staining. Thanks!

We’ll also be washing Phase II on Monday, 8/19.

Have a great weekend!

Thursday, August 15th: Greetings!

The crew will begin prepping and staining the decks in Building 1 tomorrow. We’ll also be posting notices on the Phase II Buildings that we will pressure wash #3 and #4 starting on Monday, August 19th.

We’ll be chemically stripping the decks of previous stain, which is a multiple step process, thus the washing with take multiple days to complete for the 20 decks included in Phase I. For the pressure washing and stripping we kindly ask that you remove all personal belongings and furniture off of your deck. Once the washing is complete, you can return items to your deck as it will take some time for the surfaces to dry out completely. We’ll then ask you to clear the contents of your deck one more time so we can complete the staining.

We anticipate to return to begin staining select ‘Phase II’ decks on Thursday, August 22nd. We’ll be prepping and staining your deck floors and painting your skirt boards. This will mimic the work done in Phase I.

Thanks!

Tuesday, August 13th: Good afternoon!

The crew has completed the pressure washing and chemical stripping of the decks on Building 1 in Phase 1 and will complete Building 2 today as well. Then depending on weather, we’ll start the staining process on Thursday, 8/15— as long as it’s dry enough!

Stay tuned here for further updates regarding staining, project progress, and when we’ll begin in Phase II. Thanks!

The week ahead in weather.

The crew is off and running in Phase I of the project. They’ve started the pressure washing and chemical stripped of the decks, starting at Building #1. The washing and stripping will take about 3 days to complete and from there we’ll begin the staining process. Thanks!
