Chelsea Mews – Plymouth

Project Complete

Greetings and welcome to the official blog for this year’s painting project at Chelsea Mews in Plymouth. We are excited to be onsite with you!

Monday, August 21st: Happy Monday and Happy Total Solar Eclipse Day! Here’s a link with all things related to the eclipse and safe viewing in MN. Anyone else have Bonnie Tyler’s ‘Total Eclipse of the Heart’ playing on repeat in their head?!

The crew wrapped up on Saturday albeit a few residence doors that still need to be painted.  A walk through and touch ups will be completed in the next several days. Thanks!

Friday, August 18th: It seems we’re having a bit of déjà vu- rain and more rain, though tomorrow looks more promising! Lots of happenings around the Twin Cities ~ free movies in the park, numerous farmer’s markets, and the St. Paul food truck festival. We’re crossing our fingers for drier weekend weather!

Crossing our fingers for a drier week ahead!

Thursday, August 17th: Rain, rain, go away… it seems Mother Nature has alternate plans than for us to finish up your project. We’re hoping for clearer skies tomorrow so we can get back to it and wrap things up at! Stay tuned!

Friday, August 11th: TGIF! After 2 rain days the crew is back onsite and favoring this beautiful weather much more! We’re in luck becuase tomorrow looks like a beautiful day as well!

The crew is continuing on the 2 buildings/sections they started earlier this week, they’ll also begin on the 3rd building/section either today or tomorrow.

Have a great weekend!

Wednesday, August 9th: Good morning! It seems as though Mother Nature has other plans than to continue painting your buildings today. Rain for the rest of today and potentially into tomorrow. We’ll keep you updated as to when the crew will return once the rain subsides and the substrates have had time to dry. Thanks!

Tuesday, August 8th: Good afternoon! As we continue into August, the reality of back to school and the ‘end of summer’ is creeping closer. If you haven’t had a chance to go to a movie in the park, this week there are several options from the Minneapolis Park and Recreation: Ghostbusters, Drop Dead Gorgeous, and Moana. Movies begin 15 minutes after sunset.

The crew is now painting at 1810-1822 and 1825-1845. The crew is anticipating to wrap up on Wednesday, weather permitting!

Monday, August 7th: Good afternoon and happy Monday! We hope you all had a great weekend!

The crew is prepping on 1810-1822 as well as 1825-1845. If your building was just completed, we’ll be back to repaint the garage doors and front doors as we mistakenly used the wrong color. Our apologies!

Pictures coming soon!

Thursday, July 20th: Greetings and welcome to your project blog for the upcoming painting project at Chelsea Mews! We will kick off your project tomorrow, Friday 7/21 with pressure washing of select included wood substrated on the exterior of your homes including: siding, soffits, garage doors/frames, deck railing/spindles, skirt and support pillars. Also, select deck floors will be completed.

We ask that you kindly move any small and/or personal items from the outside of your home/deck to allow for safe and unobstructed access for washing and painting. Please note it is not necessary to completely clear the contents of your deck.

Once the substrates have had adequate time to dry, the crew will return to begin prepping and finishing of the included surfaces. We anticipate this will begin on Wednesday, 7/26. The project in entirety should take about 7-10 working days to complete, but may be affected by weather. Stay tuned right here on the blog for daily progress updates, pictures, and any weather delays if they come up.

Thanks so much for having us and we are excited to get started tomorrow!
