Thursday, 6/9 – Staining complete on 1 building – Rain Delay

Greetings and welcome to the official blog for the staining/painting project at Maple Lakes Condos. We are thrilled to be onsite with you.

Thursday, June 9th: The fellas did manage to sneak in some productivity yesterday before the rains greeted all of us this morning in the Twin Cities. The 8511-8549 building has been completed and depending on what the weather does, the remaining two buildings will be completed by Saturday or Monday. Thank you to the residents that have reached out and/or given us feedback and special thanks to Jennifer @ First Service for quarterbacking some additional considerations that have arisen once the project began on Monday. It is a distinct privilege to be working with/for you.

Carlos begins finishing a deck…the end result is gorgeous!

Tuesday, Jun 7th: It’s amazing what can happen with a little sunshine. The crew completed the pressure washing on Monday and as the decks dry, they are painting/cleaning your mailbox kiosks/garage service doors, and the front stoop staining will commence on Wednesday (weather permitting). Thank you to a couple of homeowners that have reached out with questions and thank you to everybody for their cooperation in getting items moved. With good weather, the project should wrap up by week’s end. Thanks everybody!

Pressure washing is a critical first step to ensure the decks are clear of dirt/debris, allowing maximum adhesion of the acrylic stain. Ideally, decks are re-coated every 2-3 years in the Minnesota climate.

Friday, June 3rd: Perhaps you’ve found your way to our humble little blog by way of blue notices posted throughout your property. If that is the case, welcome!

The scope of work will include your front decking, your mailbox kiosks on Forestview Lane, and three garage service doors on Forestview Lane.

While some of the work will have little/no impact on your daily routines, the deck staining will require some cooperation from homeowners. Before pressure washing, we kindly ask that you remove all personal belongings from your deck. The same applies to the staining process, as this allows our crew to have unfettered access to the areas designated for completion.

If the weather cooperates, the project should be completed in a week and you can follow the project progress right here on the blog.

Thanks in advance for your cooperation!

Should any questions arise regarding the project, please don’t hesitate to contact Isaac, your project manager.
