Project Complete

Greetings and welcome to your project blog! We are thrilled to be working with you this year!

Monday, April 11th: Greetings!

The crew will be prepping and painting the elevator doors tomorrow and Wednesday in both towers. For the painting, there will be one working elevator in each tower tomorrow and Wednesday. Thanks in advance for your cooperation.

Thursday, April 7th: Good morning!

The crew is continuing in the remaining few hallways with prep & painting. They are also painting the elevator door frames in the West Tower.

The crew is also painting baseboards in the East Tower and will be completed with those as well.

Wrapping up in the West Tower.

Baseboards & elevator door frames are in progress.

Monday, April 4th: Greetings!

The crew is cruising and is not prepping and painting on floors 8, 7, 6, and 5.

We’ll post notices tomorrow regarding the closure of the elevators (only 1 at a time) to paint the doors. Next week on Tuesday 4/12 and Wednesday 4/13 we will close ONE elevator in each respective tower. We hope this provides advance notice of the closure and you can anticipate the “slower” elevators those days we are painting. Thank you in advance!

Prep begin on the 7th floor.

Prepping and taping off edges.

Wednesday, March 30th: Good afternoon!

The crew is working in the West Tower with wallpaper removal, prep and painting. They’ll be simultaneously working on several floors at a time to allow them to efficiently prep, account for dry times and continue with painting. They are currently working on 17, 16, 15 and 14.

Thursday, March 24th: Greetings!

The crew is continuing to move through the last few floors at Reflections – East Tower. We are not complete with the project, but are just continuing through the floors to complete the wall painting, wallpaper removal and wall prep, and baseboard painting.

We are projected to start in the West Tower on Monday, 3/28. Similarly, we will start at the top and work on several blocks of floors at a time with prep and painting. This will allow our crew efficiencies in prepping and painting while allowing dry time between application of paint.

A big thank you to everyone for your cooperation as we traversed through the East Tower. We are looking forward to refreshing the West Tower next!

Monday, March 21st: Good afternoon!

We wanted to mention that although the crew may not be working in floors 17 – 8 currently, we are not complete with those hallways or the project. We will do some internal audits of the work as we continue to progress and go back to complete those touch ups. When we do complete both towers, we will then make time for our production supervisor, your manager and board to walk the hallways and mark any areas needing touch ups and further attention. Thank you!

We will continue to The crew is continuing to finish up on 8, 7, 6, and 5 today. They’ll begin on the remaining floorings tomorrow.

We hope you’re all enjoying the refresh and have a great weekend! We’ll return Monday.

Monday, March 14th: Good Morning!

We are off and prepping in the east tower this morning! We will be working on 4 floors simultaneously, starting on the 17th, 16th, 15th and 14th floors in the East tower.

These floors will be completed before moving on to the next set.

Stay tuned for project updates to be posted throughout the project and when we will get started on the next set of floors!

Have a fantastic week everyone!

Wednesday, March 9th: Good morning!

Welcome residents of Reflections 1 in Bloomington to your project blog for the upcoming interior painting project in the East and West Towers.

We are thrilled to be working with and for you to refresh your corridors, more specifically we’ll be prepping and painting your elevator doors/frames, hallway “white” walls, “gray” sheetrock walls, and corridor baseboards. There will also be removal of existing and installation of new wallpaper around the elevator lobbies.

This project blog will be used as a communication tool to relay pertinent project information regarding start dates, photos of progress, and updates to the finishing schedule.

On Monday, we’ll be kicking off the project in the East Tower on the 17th floor and then work our way down. We are anticipating to start only in the East Tower and then add in a 2nd crew for the West Tower shortly after. And we will again provide notices and updates regarding starting in the West Tower.

We anticipate the project in it’s entirety to take 4- 6 weeks to complete; however work on each individual floor will be much less. We are projecting 2-3 working days per floor. The crew will start on the 17th floor and then work their way down to the 2nd floor.

We would ask residents be mindful of wet paint as we are working on your floor, otherwise the disruption would be fairly minor as it is all happening in the common areas and not individual units. We will be installing new wallpaper towards the end of the project as well.

Please continue to check back here for progress updates, project photos, or to leave a comment/question below. We will use this blog to communicate project notes and updates as well as share some progress photos.

Please reach out to the contacts below if you have any questions. Thank you and we are looking forward to getting started next week!
