Thursday, October 26th: Hello and Happy Thursday!

Any ‘Game of Thrones’ fans??

So, we might be being a bit dramatic about the change in weather, but our first look at some snow is right around the corner. Who knows how long it will actually stick around? The crew is pulling out all the stops to get your project completed today and just in time, too This is one of our last exterior painting projects for the season… and then we’ll move onto interiors!

Thank you again, so much for having us onsite over the last 2 months. It has been our pleasure working with and for you! We certainly love the updated color aesthetic and hope you do as well!

Wednesday, October 25th: Good morning! It seems ‘that time of year’ is here with morning frosts and the need for warmer jackets. And dare we even mention the forecasted snow for tomorrow? 

Have no fear, the crew at Cobblestone Lake are seasoned Pros and will have your project completed today. We’ve got all hands on deck as we wrap up on Buildings 16, 17, and 19. 17 & 19 will be completed today and 18 will finish up tomorrow. The crews are also completing touch ups on many buildings throughout the association. 

Please Note- We’ve posted several red notices throughout the association on doors that remain unpainted. We’ll be painting doors this Thursday, 10/26 – if you’d like to schedule a specific time, please contact Jesse- your Job Supervisor at 612-363-4586 or jesse@roellpainting.com. If you have not made arrangements by this date, we’ll be painting your door in the closed position on Monday, 10/30. Thank you!!


Monday, October 23rd: Good morning and Happy Monday! We hope you all had a great weekend! 

Some big news was released yesterday regarding the Super Bowl and the Halftime performance… the one and only Justin Timberlake will be performing!

The crews at Cobblestone Lake are working hard to wrap up the project on Wednesday! We’ve got 2 crews working on Building #16 and one will finish tomorrow, while the 2nd crew will finish on Wednesday. #17 should be complete tomorrow. #18 is done and #19 will be done tomorrow or Wednesday. 

Time has just flown by and we can’t believe your project is nearing an end! It has been our pleasure working with and for you for the last month or so and we hope you enjoy your freshly painted homes!

Friday, October 20th: Hello and Happy Friday! 

What a beautiful day and week it’s been with temperatures in the 70s- we can’t complain! We hope you all have a great weekend and can get enjoy the weather! 

Progress update: Building #18 is complete! #17 has 1-2 days left, #16 will wrap up Tuesday/Wednesday, and #19 has 2 days left. It’s pretty windy in Apple Valley today, so the crew is managing that and making sure there isn’t paint getting blown around.

Thursday, October 19th: The NBA tipped off their regular season games on Tuesday and the Timberwolves had their first game in San Antonio last night. Though they couldn’t pull off a win, they’re hopeful to show off at the Target Center for their home-opener on Friday against the Utah Jazz. 

With this continued sunny and clear weather, the crews are cruising on the last 4 buildings. Buildng #18 & #19 are hopeful to wrap up on Monday, followed by #16 & #17 on Tuesday. Then, all crews will be completing touch ups on all of the buildings.

Wednesday, October 18th: Good morning and Happy Hump Day! 

The crews are carrying on with prepping and finishing the last 4 buildings. We’re in the home stretch folks!

Monday, October 16th: Good morning residents of Cobblestone Lake. We hope you all had a great weekend! And how about that Viking win?! 

It looks like a beautiful week of weather ahead. We’re hoping with the clear and dry weather that we have about a week remaining to complete Buildings 16, 17, 18 & 19.

Friday, October 13th: TGIF and Happy Friday the 13th! 

The border battle showdown is this Sunday at U.S. Bank Stadium. The Packers are in town to take on our Purple People Eaters. Skol Vikes! 

Buildings #10 and #15 are complete and the crews have moved on to start Buildings #16 and #17. They’re also continuing with #18 and #19. We anticipate about 8 more working days to get the project complete!

Thursday, October 12th: It’s official, the Timberwolves agreed to a multi-year contract extension with Andrew Wiggins. We can’t wait to see what Wiggins will continue to do for the Timberwolves over the next few seasons. Preseason is underway and the regular season will commence on 10/18 in San Antonio against The Spurs. 

Here’s a progress update: #10- done today, #15- should be done today with a few hours of touch ups in the morning tomorrow, #16- start tomorrow, #17- potential to start tomorrow, #18- halfway complete, #19- will be halfway complete tomorrow.

Wednesday, October 11th: Good afternoon residents of Cobblestone Lake! We hope you’re all having a good week so far. 

Update on progress: #10- wrap up today, #11- a few doors remain, #14- wrapping up today/tomorrow then move to #15, #16- starting later this week, #18- in progress, and #19- in progress.

Tuesday, October 10th: Though the Vikings game wasn’t anything to write home about, they did come out with a field goal to win the game. Moving on to the next task– Green Bay on Sunday at US Bank Stadium. Let’s hope for a productive week of practice!

Monday, October 9th: Good morning residents of Cobblestone Lake. We hope you all had a great weekend! We’re gearing up to watch Monday Night Football as the Vikings take on the Bears in Chicago! Go Vikes!

Friday, October 6th: TGIF! 

Looks like there’s some rain in the forecast for this afternoon and then also tomorrow in the earlier part of the day. The crew is working to get as much completed before the rain rolls in this afternoon. 

They’re continuing on 10, 11, and 15. Buildings 13 and 15 were completed yesterday and both 18 and 19 were started. Thanks and have a great weekend! 


Thursday, October 5th: The MN Lynx have done it again! They’ve won the WNBA Championship and this is their 4th title win in the last 7 years. The parade and celebrations are being held outside of Williams Area on the UMN campus in Minneapolis at 6:30pm tonight. 

The crews continue their efforts on Buildings 10, 11, 13, 14, & 15. They’ve also started prep on #18 & #19.

Wednesday, October 4th: Hello and Happy Wednesday! 

If we may borrow a line from Johnny Nash’s hit song, “I can see clearly now the rain is gone.” Quite literally, the clouds have cleared and we have a sunshiney day!

The crews are back and in full force. They are continuing to paint on Buildings 10,13, 14, and 15. They’ll be starting on #18 and #19 tomorrow as well.

Tuesday, October 3rd: Hello residents of Cobblestone Lake. We were hoping the surfaces would be able to dry out a bit to paint, however, we got quite a bit of rain. The crew will be back onsite tomorrow!


Monday, October 2nd: Good morning and Happy October! We hope you all had a great weekend. 

With all of the rain last night and today, the crew will not be onsite today. We are hopeful that the forecasted rain for tomorrow is brief and that the crew can potentially work in the afternoon. Stay tuned on the blog for specific details. Thanks! 


Friday, September 29th: TGIF! Lots happening around the Twin Cities this weekend and a major road closure as well- 35W will be closed from Friday at 10pm to Monday at 5am from Crosstown 62 to Downtown. Check into alternate routes if you’re headed into downtown this weekend for the Twins, Gopher, Wild or Vikings games or to watch the Marathon on Sunday. Along with lots of sporting events there are plenty of Fall-themed activities- the Renaissance Fair, Sever’s Corn Maze, or Valley Scare to name a few. The Parade of Homes is also running this weekend as well. 

We are still on track from our progress update yesterday. We hope you all have a great weekend!


Thursday, September 28th: It’s a great day to be a Twins fan!! The MN Twins clinched the second wild-card spot last night when the Chicago White Sox beat the Los Angeles Angels. The players had quite an evening of celebrating in their club house complete with champagne showers and lots of smiles. The team will travel to play either the Yankees or the Red Sox on Tuesday! 

The crew is continuing their painting on Buildings #10-#15. The last two buildings (#18, #19) are also being pressure washed today. 

Quick progress update per building: #10- Continuing to paint and has about a week left, #11- Should be complete Friday or Saturday, #12- Complete on Friday, #13 and #14- Complete Monday or Tuesday, and #15- Complete next week Wednesday or Thursday. The last four buildings will be completed out of order, with #19 being next in line for completion. Thanks!

Wednesday, September 27th: Good afternoon! Clear and sunny skies and our painters couldn’t be happier for a full day’s work @ Legacy at Cobblestone Lake!  

 The crew is continuing with prepping and painting on Buildings #12- #15. They are also pressure washing Buildings 16 & 17 today as well as 18 & 19 tomorrow. They’ll then begin on those buildings next week.

Monday, September 25th: Good morning and Happy Monday! We hope you all enjoyed the hot and sunny weekend weather! With all the rain today, the crew will not be onsite and will return when the substrates have had ample time to dry out- we’ll keep you posted as to when this will be! 

As a heads up – the crew will be pressure washing Buildings 16 & 17 on Wednesday, 9/27 and then Buildings 18 & 19 on Thursday, 9/28. We anticipate prep and painting will then begin next week Wednesday, 10/3 for these remaining four buildings. 


Friday, September 22nd: TGIF and Happy First Day of Fall, although with the 90 degree heat wave, Minnesota clearly did not get the memo. Regardless, we can all enjoy the warmer weather today and this weekend! ‘Tis the season of The Renaissance Festival, Sever’s Corn Maze and various apple orchards and pumpkin patches throughout the metro area if you’re searching for weekend activities.

The crew is holding steady and current with the updates from yesterday. Looks like rain on Monday, so we’ll keep you updated on any weather delays. Have a great weekend! 


Thursday, September 21st: We don’t know about you, but we’re channeling some Earth, Wind, and Fire on this ’21st (night) of September!’ 

Video Update for Thursday, 9/21

We are about 70% done with the entire project. The crew is continuing on 4 of the larger buildings (12-15), which will take us into the next 7-10 working days and then only 4 buildings on the East side of the association remain (16-19). We want to thank you for your patience and grace as you’ve had your window’s covered for several days while we spray the siding and paint the trim. It’s the best way to prevent overspray, but it does lend a ‘caged bird’ feel. So we appreciate your understanding and cooperation!


Wednesday, September 20th: Good afternoon and Happy Hump Day!

The progress update from yesterday still stands for today- the crews are continuing to paint at Buildings #10- #15.

Tuesday, September 19th: Good afternoon! We sure like today’s weather better than yesterday’s rain! 

Here’s a quick update: Building #1-#9 are complete aside from a few front doors, #10- the crew is painting the trim, #11- the crew is painting the siding on the front elevation, #12- The crew is painting the siding and trim on the front elevation, #13, the crew is painting trim on 2 sides of the building and they’ll start the siding tomorrow, #14 and #15 both started prep and painting today.

Friday, September 15th: TGIF! We’ve had such a gorgeous weather week and also a productive painting week at Cobblestone Lake!

Thursday, September 14th: It’s quite the heat wave Minnesota! Though we can’t really complain about the gorgeous weather while it’s still here and before Mother Nature throws fall and…winter at us.

The crew is sticking to the schedule and progress posted from Monday. As a reminder, they’ll be pressure washing building #14 & #15 tomorrow. Thanks!

Tuesday, September 12th: The Vikings got their first win last night, with a 29-19 victory over the New Orleans Saints. Next up, they’ll travel to Pittsburgh – bring it on!

Monday, September 11th: We wanted to take a moment to reflect and remember the victims who lost their lives and also honor all of the heros from September 11th 2001. 

It’s an exciting day in MN sports as the Vikings kick off the regular season at U.S. Bank Stadium as they take on the New Orleans Saints at 6pm. The Vikings will honor Randy Moss as he’s inducted into the Viking’s Ring of Honor during the pre-game. Also, Adrian Peterson will make his appearance as a Saint’s RB and face off against his previous team. SKOL VIKINGS!

After pressure washing Buildings 10-13, the crew is now beginning their prep work on Building 10 and 11. They’re also continuing on Buildings 6, 8, and 9. 


Friday, September 8th: TGIF! Though the weather has turned a bit cooler, we are not short on outdoor weekend activities. Here are some suggestions for getting out and about and soaking up the weekend weather: Greek Fest near Calhoun, James J. Hill Days in Wayzata, and the NE Food Truck Rally at Able Seedhouse and Brewery. We hope you all have a great weekend! 

The crew is pressure washing Buildings 10 & 11 today and then 12 & 13 tomorrow. They’re continuing to paint on Buildings 5, 6, 8 & 9. Building 5 is set to be done on Monday.

Thursday, September 7th: Good morning! With the imminent threat of hurricane Irma to the U.S. and Florida, we are wishing the people of Florida quick and safe evacuations as well as safety to those already affected in Dominican Republic, Haiti, Turks and Caicos, Bahamas, and Cuba. 

The crew is keepin’ on at Cobblestone Lake with painting being completed on Buildings 5-9. We’ll be pressure washing Buildings 10 and 11 tomorrow as well 12 and 13 on Saturday. We ask you to kindly close your windows and remove any small personal belongings from the outside of your home. Thanks!

Wednesday, September 6th: Greetings residents of Cobblestone Lake!

Albeit a few doors and touch ups, the crews are finished with Buildings 1-4. They’re starting and also continuing on Buildings 5-9 per our update from yesterday and we are staying on schedule.

Tuesday, September 5th: Hello and Happy Tuesday! We hope you all had a great, long holiday weekend! The weather looks like a cooler week, but also a dry week, which is perfect for painting!

Here’s a run down of progress on Building 1-9: #1- Complete, aside a few doors, #2- Complete, aside 1 door, #3- Painting one peak and a few doors and will finish today, #4- Painting trim and will finish today, #5- Painting the trim on three sides of buildings and will finish on Friday, #6- Start on Thursday, #7- Painting on various parts of building and will finish tomorrow, #8- Prep and painting started today, and #9- Prep and painting started today.

Friday, September 1st: Happy September!

The crew continues to paint on Building 2, 3, 4, 5, and 7. They’ll also be pressure washing Building 9 today.

Thursday, August 31st: And just like that we’re closing out August and moving into September! 

It’s a big day for Minnesota sports- Twins vs. White Sox @ 1:10pm, Gophers vs. Buffalo Buffs @ 6pm, and the Vikings vs. Dophins @ 7pm. Lots of cheering and hopefully celebrating ahead!

A few updates on the in-progress buildings: #1 – they are finishing up the peaks and will be done today, #2- complete, but need to redo 1 peak, #3- the peaks need to be painted as well as touch ups and will finish tomorrow, #4- will be completed on Saturday, #5- the trim is complete on 3 sides and they’ll begin spraying the siding, #6- will start next week Wednesday, 9/6, #7- the front is almost complete and then they’ll move to the sides, #8- we anticipate to start Tuesday, 9/5, #9- Pressure washing will take place tomorrow 9/1.

Wednesday, August 30th: Good Morning! 

The crews are wrapping up on Building 1-3 today as well as painting on Building 5, 7, and 8. We’ll be pressure washing Building 9 on Friday, 9/1. Please close your windows and remove any small items from the exterior of your home. They’ll then begin prep and painting on Building 9 next week, Wednesday, 9/6.

Tuesday, August 29th: Good afternoon residents of Cobblestone Lake!

The crew on building 1 is painting the peaks and will finshing tomorrow, aside from a few front doors. The crew painting on building 2 is also painting the peaks and will finish today. They’ll begin building 5 today as well. The crew on building 3 is continuing to paint and will finish tomorrow afternoon. That crew will then move to building 8. Building 4, the largest of the 4 will continue for a few more days.

Monday, August 28th: Good afternoon. We hope you all had a great weekend! 

After a rainy few days, the crew is resuming to finishing up the first set of buildings. They’ll be starting to prep #7 today and then start #5 either on Tuesday or Wednesday. Pictures coming soon!


Thursday, August 24th: Hello and happy first day of the MN Fair! Al Roker from the Today show helped to kick off this year’s MN Fair. Check out the video of him, Andrew Zimmern, and Governer Al Franken showing off some of the fair’s fan-favorites and some featured new foods at this year’s event.

The crews are continuing on Buildings 1-4. Building 7 is almost complete and then the crew will start on Building 7 on Friday or Saturday, weather permitting. Building 5 could potentially start Saturday as well, again weather permitting. We’ll continue to update the schedule above as needed. Also, the reason we’re moving out of order is due to the varying building sizes. Thanks!  


Wednesday, August 23rd: Good afternoon and happy hump day! Feeling lucky? Today the Powerball jackpot has reached an estimated $700 million! The odds of winning are still slim – one in more than 292 million, but why not take a chance?!

The crew at building 1 is working on the rear elevation and touch ups elsewhere. The crew at building 2 in painting the white trim on the front elevation and starting to paint the rear elevation. The crew at building 3 is painting on the front and will begin on the back as well. The crew at building 4 is painting on the front elevation. We’re anticipating, with continued good weather, that we’ll begin prep on building 6 tomorrow and on building 5 on Saturday.

Tuesday, August 22nd: Good afternoon and we couldn’t be happier to see the sun because it means there’s no rain and we have a full painting day!

The crews are resuming painting on Building 1-4. They’re painting trim and siding colors.

Monday, August 21st: Happy Monday and Happy Total Solar Eclipse Day! Here’s a link with all things related to the eclipse and safe viewing in MN. Anyone else have Bonnie Tyler’s ‘Total Eclipse of the Heart’ playing on repeat in their head?! 

With some rain over night and forecasted for this afternoon, we have a few of the crews onsite completing some prep work. We’ll be back in full force tomorrow with drier and sunnier weather. 


Friday, August 18th: It seems we’re having a bit of déjà vu- rain and more rain, though tomorrow looks more promising! Lots of happenings around the Twin Cities ~ free movies in the park, numerous farmer’s markets, and the St. Paul food truck festival. We’re crossing our fingers for drier weekend weather!

Our carpenters are onsite completing some misc. repairs as well as a crew pressure washing building #8.

Thursday, August 17th: Hello!

It seems we’re having a bit of déjà vu. Mother Nature is continuing to be uncooperative, but we do have a crew onsite pressing on with the pressure washing of Building #7. Stay tuned if we’ll be back onsite tomorrow if things can dry out a bit. Thanks! 


Wednesday, August 16th: Good morning! 

The crew is taking note from Starship’s “Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now” and powering through the rain to pressure wash Building #6. It looks like there might be more rain in the forecast for tomorrow so we’ll keep you posted when the crews will resume painting. Thanks!

Tuesday, August 15th: Hello Legacy at Cobblestone Lake! We’re less than 10 days out from the start of the MN Fair and Today’s Al Roker has announced he’ll be onsite to live broadcast on opening day, August 24th. There’s a chance also to win tickets to the live broadcast. We can already smell the fried goodness. 

The crews are continuing their prep work and painting on Buildings 1-4. They’re also pressure washing Building 5 and will wash 6, 7, and 8 on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday one a day respectively.

Monday, August 14th: Good afternoon! We hope you all had a great weekend!

The crew will be getting a later start this afternoon due to all the rain we got over night. They’ll be back onsite after lunch time. Thanks!

Friday, August 11th: TGIF! The crew is back onsite, in much more welcomed weather! It looks like we’re going to have some beautiful weather today and tomorrow!

They’re pressure washing the 2nd two buildings #3 and #4 on the site map above. We’ll then let the buildings dry over the weekend and be back on Monday to begin the prepping and painting of Buildings 1-4.

Thursday, August 10th: And they’re off!! Your painting project is officially underway and the crew is pressure washing Building 1&2 today and then 3&4 tomorrow. We’ll then be back onsite on Monday, 8/14 to begin prepping and painting on Buildings 1-4. 

We are so excited to be onsite and begin your project!

The first step is pressure washing the surfaces so we have a clean slate to work with.

Thursday, August 3rd: Welcome to the project blog for this summer’s painting project at Cobblestone Lake! After much anticipation and thorough deliberation over color schemes, we are ready to roll! We are excited to be a part of the color transformation of your back-to-back style homes as well as the row style homes. We’ll be painting all 18 buildings, which includes 138 residences. 

The painting will include prep and finishing of: lap siding, shake siding, fascia, pillars, deck fascia, shutters, select window trim, front doors & frames, garage doors & frames, service doors 7 frames, patio door frames, and decorative corbels. 

We’ll begin your project next week Thursday, 8/10 with pressure washing of the 1st and 2nd buildings. Please continue to check the finishing schedule, posted above as it will have the most current information regarding when we’ll be at your building/unit. The route map will soon be updated with the designated buildings #s. 

For Pressure Washing: please remove all small belongings/personal items from the exterior of your home to allow for safe and unobstructed access for pressure washing and painting.
