Day 2 and more prep is underway.
Tuesday, February 23rd: Good morning!
Welcome to the project blog for this major home refresh project. We are looking forward to sharing the project progress with you here on the blog. We’ll post updates frequently with photos from the crew as they make their way across the main and lower levels – brushes in hand beautifying the space.
We are going to be prepping and finishing the majority of the main and lower levels, including millwork – baseboards, doors, frames, kitchen cabinets, fireplace, pantry, laundry, dining and built ins. We’ll also be refreshing ceiling areas and the walls.
As we begin each project, we spend time prepping. With the large size of this project, we’ll spend days covering floors, carpets, furniture and areas we are not painting before we begin and anticipate to be prepping through the rest of the week.
After areas are prepped and covered, the crew will begin painting the millwork – this involves multiple steps including priming and 2 top coats. Between the primer and top coats, the crew will be taking time to fill in any nicks or dings.
Once the millwork is completed, we’ll begin to paint ceilings and walls. In it’s entirely we are going to be working on the this project for ~ 5 weeks.
Stay tuned here for more updates and to see the big changes happening. Thanks!

Taping off the baseboards and stair parts.

Prep begins in the lower level.

Can’t reach… no problem when you’ve got stilts 🤣

Working through the lower level and taping off millwork.

Ready for a refresh and continuous color palette throughout the home.

With kitchen cabinet projects comes prep work – even on the homeowners part to clear out drawers and cabinets.

We’ll be refreshing the vanities and painting the wall in the master bathroom.

Master bedroom ready for a refresh!

Again, more prep work by homeowners to remove contents.
