Cedar Cove – Minnetonka

Cedar Cove – Minnetonka

Touchups IN PROGRESS

Greetings and welcome to the official blog for the painting/staining project at Cedar Cove. We are thrilled to be onsite with you.

The crew will be starting at the upper left hand corner of the association at 10059 Cove Drive and making their way counter clockwise throughout the association, ending at 10054. Excluded from the work are 10031/10051/10023.

Wednesday, June 15th: After fits and starts of rain, the crew is back onsite today taking care of the outstanding items/touchups. Jesse, our field manager will be inspecting the work to ensure it meets your (and our) hight standards!

Thursday, June 9th: As Polonius said, “brevity is the soul of wit” and that’s exactly what the status at Cedar Cove is. The fellas have one more day of staining left as soon as the weather cooperates and then we’ll be on our merry way. We could be wrong, but there’s a good chance we are the only painting contractor to quote Shakespeare today.

Getting your deck stained “tis a consummation devoutly to be wished.”

Tuesday, June 7th: What an absolutely glorious day to be outside painting. The crew has taken full advantage of the pristine conditions and work is moving right along. The garage door frame painting has been completed and those decks that are part of this year’s project are in the midst of being completed. If the weather holds out for the remainder of the week, we are anticipating completion by Friday. Stay tuned for any updates to the schedule. Thanks for your cooperation!

Covering is obviously a huge part of ensuring a crisp, clean end result on a painting project.

Good things those boots have chunky heels, otherwise Guillermo might not be able to reach the top of that garage door frame!

Friday, June 3rd: Happy Friday residents of Cedar Cove. The fellas took advantage of the nice weather yesterday and managed to complete the pressure washing. As the decks dry (with no help from the weather!) they will be painting your garage door frames and mailbox stands. However, rain has delayed progress and right now, the plan is to return Monday to stain the decks in the same order they were pressure washed. We’ll hope for dry conditions over the weekend so the decks will be dry enough to stain. Stay tuned!

A FRIENDLY REMINDER BEFORE STAINING: MANY OF THE DECKS STILL HAD FURNITURE THAT HAD NOT BEEN REMOVED BEFORE PRESSURE WASHING. WHILE WE WERE ABLE TO WORK AROUND THIS FOR PRESSURE WASHING, THE ITEMS WILL NEED TO BE REMOVED BEFORE STAINING. WE WOULD BE GRATEFUL IF YOU COULD ACCOMODATE THIS REQUEST. THANKS IN ADVANCE!

The included decks are washed and thirrrrsty for some stain @ Cedar Cove.

Tuesday, May 31st: And just like that, June is already here! Where does the time go?!? And just like most of last week, it’s raining again (as of 11 AM on Tuesday morning).

Most likely, you’ve found your way to our humble little blog by way of blue notices posted onsite. While these notices pertain specifically to those homeowners whose decks we are staining, we will also be doing some trim painting as well including your mailbox kiosks and garage door frames.

We anticipate that pressure washing will take a total of 2 days so we kindly ask that if your deck is getting completed, please remove furniture (chairs, grill, etc…) off your deck in advance of our arrival on Thursday. After pressure washing and after the decks have had time to dry, we will be returning on the following Monday (weather permitting of course) to begin staining your decks. We will keep you posted on our the project status and when you can return items to your deck upon completion of the project.

IF YOU WOULD PREFER TO RETURN ITEMS TO YOUR DECK AFTER PRESSURE WASHING (TO ENJOY YOUR DECK OVER THE WEEKEND) THAT’S TOTALLY FINE, PLEASE JUST HAVE THE ITEMS OFF THE DECK WHEN WE COME BACK TO BEGIN STAINING ON MONDAY. THANKS!!!!

Right now, the forecast looks pretty promising to stay on track!

Again, you can follow the project right here on the blog (weather delays, schedule, etc…).

We’ll see you on Thursday!
