Phoenix on the River HOA – Minneapolis

Project Complete

Greetings and welcome to the official blog for the 2017 Painting Project @ Phoenix on the River in Minneapolis! We are excited to be back onsite with you.

Friday, February 17th: Happy Friday indeed! As if Friday isn’t looked forward to enough, we have temperatures in the upper 50s today! No doubt, this heat wave will have us shedding winter layers in exchange for our sunglasses.

The crew is working in the main lobby today and should wrap up by Monday. We hope you all have a beautiful weekend! Cheers.

Victor sets up in ladder before getting started in the lobby.

A little before look at the lobby.

Martha and the Vadellas ‘Heat’ things up.

Monday, February 13th: Well, it’s Monday. But it’s not just ANY Monday. That’s right. Thanks to the forward thinking and exuberance of one Lesley Knope, a new tradition has descended upon American Pop Culture…that’s right…Galentine’s Day!

We are celebrating Galentine’s day the only way we know how…by celebrating and creating beauty and that’s just what the fellas are doing at Phoenix on the River this fine Monday! The crew continues to make great progress and have made their way down to the 5th floor in the Main St. Building.

We also want to thank the residents for their awesome cooperation and a special thank you to Andrea who, this morning asked if “we could clone the crew for all future painting projects at Phoenix on the River.” Well, at the current juncture, that might be scientifically beyond our reach, but heck, anything is possible on Galentine’s Day, right!?

Have a great day everybody!

Victor, Francisco, and Mauricio wish the women @ Phoenix on the River a “Happy Galentine’s Day”.

Friday, February 10th: Happy Friday ya’ll! The weekend is right around the corner and we’ve been blessed with sunshine and 40 degree temperatures! It looks as though this coveted weather will stick through the weekend too. If you’re looking to get out and about check out the ‘Chilly Open’ in Wayzata today and tomorrow. The Wayzata Chamber presents this unique frozen golf event on Lake Minnetonka to celebrate our winter season. The weekend is packed with events for all ages, including the three 9-hole golf courses on the Lake, ice skating, snow kiting, snow-ga (yoga), chili cook-off, live music and more! Check out their events page for all the deets on this true-Minnesotan event.

The crew at Phoenix on the River is continuing to make their way from top to bottom in the tower portion of your building.

Have a great weekend!

Double duty on the 7th floor.

Francisco cuts a mean edge.

A crisp and precise prep lends a clean finish.

Wednesday, February 8th: Good afternoon! We hope you’re all staying warm on this chilly day. Here’s a little mid-week pick-me-up from JT. Be careful though, it’s a pretty catchy tune. Justin Timberlake was featured in this month’s The Hollywood Reporter. He was interviewed about his new life and role as a father and how watching his son grow up has made him reflect on his own childhood. Remember, he was discovered at age 10 on “Star Search” and then starred on “The New Mickey Mouse Club?” He mentioned how your perspective can be altered when you’re viewing through another lens. How can you not like the guy?!

“Can’t stop the feeling” is nominated for both a Grammy and an Oscar. Now turn it up and fight those winter blues!

The crew at Phoenix on the River is on the 6th floor in the River Room today and they’re working on painting all of the walls in the room.

Francisco gets cozy with the fridge to ensure all surfaces are painted.

Tuesday, February 7th: Greetings Phoenix on the River residents and welcome to your project blog. We are excited to be onsite with you. For this year’s project, we’ll be painting select areas of the building. For example, select walls, doors, doorframes, and millwork will be worked on in both the tower and main street building. We anticipate the crew to be painting over the next 10 days.

Isaac, your job supervisor and Victor, your site supervisor walked the building today and marked areas/ and walls for repaint. We kindly ask that you leave the blue tape on the wall as it designates work needing to be done. Thanks so much!

Stay tuned here for further updates. We’ll provide progress updates, pictures, and try to have some fun along the way as well.

The ‘Blue Tape Guy’ was onsite marking areas for painting.

Francisco makes his way down the 10th floor.
