Brandychase – St. Paul

Brandychase – St. Paul

Project Complete

Greetings and welcome to the official blog for your painting project at Brandychase at Shepard Park in St. Paul. We are looking forward to working with and for you!

Route Map @ Brandychase

Friday, September 8th: TGIF! Though the weather has turned a bit cooler, we are not short on outdoor weekend activities. Here are some suggestions for getting out and about and soaking up the weekend weather: Greek Fest near Calhoun, James J. Hill Days in Wayzata, and the NE Food Truck Rally at Able Seedhouse and Brewery. We hope you all have a great weekend!

The crew has completed your entry step/landing staining and again, we appreicate all of your patience and cooperation as we asked these areas remained ‘closed’ for a period of time so they could properly dry. Thanks so much! It has been our pleasure working with and for you and we hope you have a great rest of the year!

Wednesday, September 6th: Hello and Happy September residents of Brandychase!

The crew will be back onsite on Friday, September 8th to apply and 2nd coat of stain to your entry steps. We will be working in these areas from 9am until 11am and then we ask that you refrain from walking on these areas until at least 3pm to allow for sufficient dry time, however we realize that this may not be feasible for all homeowners. In the event that you cannot avoid walking on the stain, we please advise you to remove your shoes before entering your residence to prevent any residual stain from getting from your shoes onto your floors.

Thanks in advance for your cooperation. We greatly appreciate it!

Tuesday, August 29th: Good morning residents of Brandychase!

Today the crew is painting the entry steps from 9am-12pm and we ask that these steps remain closed until 3pm so they can dry. Again, thank you for your cooperation and patience. The steps are the last phase of our painting and we will be done once they are dry.

Thank you for having us! It has been our pleasure working with and for you this summer!

Monday, August 28th: Good afternoon! We hope you all had a great weekend!

The crew is continuing to paint the stair stringers today across buildings. Tomorrow, Tuesday they’ll be staining the steps of common stairs. This will begin at 9am and go through 12pm. We ask that the stairs remain closed until 3pm to allow them to fully dry. We truly appreciate your cooperation and patience as we know these area common area steps.

Today we are painting the stair stringers and tomorrow we’re staining the steps.

No place is too small to paint or too hard to reach.

The outer edge of the stair stringers gets a fresh coat of paint.

Friday, August 25th: Hello and TGIF! The overnight rain and forecasted rain for the day has put a halt on painting at Brandychase. With weather likely the same for tomorrow, the crew will resume painting on Monday. As a reminder, step/riser painting will take place on Tuesday, 8/29. Thanks and have a great weekend!

Thursday, August 24th: Hello and happy first day of the MN Fair! Al Roker from the Today show helped to kick off this year’s MN Fair. Check out the video of him, Andrew Zimmern, and Governer Al Franken showing off some of the fair’s fan-favorites and some featured new foods at this year’s event.

Our apologies for any confusion on where the crew was working yesterday. The crew lead split up the crew to work ahead up to building 6. We’re doing out best to keep you fully apprised of progress. Today the crew will be working on # 1-6 and painting the roof vents as well as staining the stair stringers — not the actual steps. We’ll be posting notices informing you of the stair/step painting process- which will be next week Tuesday, 8/29.

Wednesday, August 23rd: Good afternoon and happy hump day! Feeling lucky? Today the Powerball jackpot has reached an estimated $700 million! The odds of winning are still slim – one in more than 292 million, but why not take a chance?!

The crew is painting at Building #2 on railings and balcony joists. They’ll be painting the roof vents at a later date as well as the common stairs. We’re waiting on the product for the stairs, so we anticipate later in the day tomorrow or Friday. Thanks!

Tuesday, August 22nd: Good morning and we couldn’t be happier to see the sun because it means there is no rain and your project is underway!

We anticipate the crew to get through one building a day. They’ll be completing the risers and stairs about a day or two behind the intial painting, but for now they’re completing railings on the stairs.

Update: The crew will complete 1 building in two days, so they’ll continue on building 1 tomorrow. The stain for the steps won’t be available until Thursday or Friday- so we’re still a few days out on that portion of the project.

The deck joists get a fresh coat of paint.

Edgar paints the railing on the stairs.

Jaime paints the residence deck railings.

Monday, August 21st: Happy Monday and Happy Total Solar Eclipse Day! Here’s a link with all things related to the eclipse and safe viewing in MN. Anyone else have Bonnie Tyler’s ‘Total Eclipse of the Heart‘ on repeat in their head?!

In painting news, we’ve pushed back one more day due to rain and weather. We’re hoping the weather holds and we have a full week of painting progress!

Thursday, August 17th: Quick afternoon update: we’ll be starting your project on Monday, 8/21. With on/off again rain in the forecast for tomorrow, we’re going to postpone your start date and have a go at it on Monday. Thanks again for your patience and have a great weekend!

Rain, rain, go away… it seems Mother Nature has alternate plans than for us begin your project today.  We’re hoping for clearer skies tomorrow so the crew can kick off your project. Stay tuned for further updates and again thanks for your patience!

Wednesday, August 16th: Good morning!

As much as we’d prefer to set a start date and a finishing schedule, sometimes Mother Nature just refuses to cooperate. Therefore with all of the rain, the surfaces are just too wet to begin prepping and painting. It looks as though there may be more rain in the forecast for tomorrow, so we’ll keep you apprised of when the project will begin. Thanks for your patience and we’re looking forward to getting started!

Monday, August 14th: Good morning residents of Brandychase! We hope you all had a great weekend!

A quick update for you all: we’ll now be starting your project on Wednesday, 8/16. With all of the rain we had yesterday, the crew that will be completing your project was delayed on their current project and will need another day and a half to complete it. Thank you for your patience and we’ll see you on Wednesday!

Thursday, August 10th: Good afternoon residents of Brandychase! The crew is busy pressure washing your stairs/platforms today. They’ll then be back onsite on Monday, 8/14 to begin prepping and finishing areas designated for painting.

As a note, we’d like to alert homeowners that there will be some amount of debris resulting from the pressure washing and prepping as we prepare for painting. Each day, the crew will be putting away ladders and paint/materials, but we will do a collective clean up of all debris when the project is complete. Thanks for your understanding and patience as we complete your project!

The residence stairs are pressure washed.

A special detergent is also being used to clean the stairs/platforms.

Wednesday, August 9th: Good morning! Quick update — we’ll be pressure washing tomorrow, Thursday 8/10. Our apologies if there was any confusion around the pressure washing date.

Monday, August 7th: Hello and welcome to your project blog for this summer’s painting project at Brandychase. We are excited to be onsite with you!

Among the areas designated for completion this year are the balcony face joists, angle irons at steps, gas meters, roof metal, misc. pool house substrates, residence railings, mailbox supports, property signs, and entry stair stringers and treads. We kindly ask that for you remove items away from the railings on your patios so that the crew can access these areas. It is not necessary that all items be removed from your patios.

You can continue to follow project progress and receive any other pertinent information on your project here on the blog!

Thanks and we’ll see you on Wednesday!
