Project Complete

Greetings and welcome to your official Project Page for the painting project at Regency Woods in Minnetonka! We are looking forward to being onsite with you!

Welcome to your official Project Page!

Wednesday, December 6th: Good afternoon residents of Regency Woods!

TIME Magazine has named it’s ‘2017 Person of the Year’ and they’ve selected the Silence Breakers, “the individuals who set off a national reckoning over the prevalance of sexual harassment.” The magazine bestowes the title upon an individual or group of people who the magazine’s editors believe have most influenced news and events of the past year, “for good or ill.” The #metoo hastag also emerged to unify those millions of people who have come forward with their stories.  Check out the full article here.

Tuesday, December 5th: Good afternoon! We hope you are all staying warm and safe as we’ve dropped about 30 degrees and added an icy mix to the roads. Take it slow and stay safe as you venture out for the day!

The crew at Regency is painting on the 1st floor of the 2260 Building. The ceilings spraying is complete and now they are prepping and painting the hallway walls.

They’ll be all wrapped up by tomorrow!

Francisco tapes and preps before hallway painting.

Evidence of prep work- tape, drop cloths, and wall patching.

Monday, December 4th: Good afternoon residents of Canabury! We hope you all had a great weekend! It appears as though our heat wave is coming to a close and Mother Nature will hit the resume button on our winter weather. It is December after all : )

Tomorrow we’ll resume regularly scheduled programming of ‘Winter Weather.’

The Regency Woods crew is prepping and painting on the 1st floor of the 2260 Building. They’ll begin with the ceilings and then move to the hallway walls.

Francisco tapes off the ceiling edges before spraying.

Mauricio tapes off door frames, corners, and edges.

Friday, December 1st: And just like that, we are into December! ‘Tis the season of holiday markets, ice skating, Santa, reindeer, and holiday merriment!

This weekend is no short of various winter activites: Civil Engineering students at the UofM have put together a light show with 250, 000 LED lights set to music and will deput their performance tonight and Sunday, the Union Depot in St. Paul will host a European Holiday Market through the weekend, and how could we not mention the Holidazzle– the events are in Loring Park with various craft, food, and beverage vendors along with music, movie showings, and Santa. Also, if you’re out and about in Minneapolis on Saturday, watch out for packs of Santas on bikes as there is a Santa Cycle during the day : )

The crew is continuing with the hallway painting on the 2nd floor of the 2260 Building. They’ll then make their way to the first floor. Thanks!

Thursday, November 30th: This is it, don’t get scared now. Though, I don’t think December is quite as scary as Kevin McCallister taking on the ‘Wet Bandits’ in Home Alone. We just can’t believe December is right around the corner – where has the time gone? It looks like we’ll at least be able to ease into it with another 40, almost 50 degree day : )

The Regency crew is continuing wall painting on the second floor of the 2260 Building and also painting the service doors in all Buildings.

Wednesday, November 22nd: Greetings residents of Regency Woods!

The crew in the 2250 Building will be wrapping up their painting and also cleaning up this morning. We’ll be pulling a Houdini and hopefully leaving zero traces of painters for your holiday weekend, aside from the sparkling new paint job! We’ll be back onsite on Monday, 11/27 to begin prep and painting in the 2260 Building.

All of us at Roell Painting would like to wish you and yours a very Happy Thanksgiving. We are very grateful for all of our painters, property managers, onsite managers, contractors, and residents. It has been a wonderful year and we couldn’t do it without our tireless crew and supporters.

May your hearts be full this Thanksgiving and Holiday Season!

Tuesday, November 21st: Good morning residents of Canabury! We hope you’re staying warm on this chilly morning. It’s begun, Thanksgiving travel is going to be at it’s peak this year with AAA reporting that 51 million Americans are set to travel over the holiday- making it the busiest travel weekend in over a decade. Here’s a roundup of travel tips if you’re one of those traveling this holiday.

Hello Regency Woods! We hope you all had a great weekend! It’s Thanksgiving week and no doubt the prep work has begun: grocery lists, cleaning, and cooking – Oh My!

Here’s a funny parody video about the struggles this family will face this Thanksgiving. Check it out.

The joys and perils of Thanksgiving!

Wednesday, November 15th: Good afternoon residents of Regency Woods!

As we are just over a week out from Thanksgiving, maybe you need a break from the menu planning, guest lists, and cleaning – check out this compilation from the show Friends as it highlights their funniest Thanksgiving moments.

The Regency crew is working in the 2240 Building and the 2250 Building. Pictures coming soon!

Tuesday, November 14th: Good morning! Though it’s a bit dreary outside, we have to admit we like the warmer temperatures!

Would you recognize a professional athlete or team if they were sitting next to you on the subway? Yesterday, there was a run-in with Lebron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers riding the subway in NY post shoot around. They were in town to play the Knicks. Here’s a link with more of the details and an innocent rider who got some serious flack for not gushing over the celebrities.

The Regency crew is wrapping up the 2220 Building and will begin on the 2250. The crew working in the 2240 Building is at a different site today, but should return tomorrow. Thanks!

Friday, November 10th: Good morning and TGIF!

To all our veterans- thank you. Thank you for everything you’ve done for our country. You’re among the best our nation has to offer. God bless you and your families and happy Veterans Day!

Thursday, November 9th: Hello and Happy Thursday! We’re off to a chilly start this morning, but the sun is shining and the crews are hard at work! Last night the Country Music Awards put on their 51st Award Show. Hosts Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisely were up to their usual antics, but refrained from any polical jokes and instead, conveyed the message of family and banding together. There were numerous great performances and also a major blip from the Entertainer of the Year, Garth Brooks… let’s just say our lips are sealed.

We’ve started prep work and will also begin some painting in the 2240 Building today. The crews are also wrapping up in the 2210, 2220, and 2230 Buildings as well.

Prep work begins in the 2240 Building.

Thank you to your lovely Bigos Deisgn Team @ Regency Woods! They’ve done a great job to coordinate multiple trades for a seeamless project finish.

Wednesday, November 8th: Greetings and Happy Hump Day! We’ve made it to mid-week!

Is anyone watching the Netflix craze ‘Stranger Things?’ Recently one of the young characters was sporting a Science Museum of Minnesota sweatshirt with a Brontosaurus featured on the front. It didn’t take long for the museum’s online shop to crash and for their in-store stock to be sold out. The Museum is excited to have TV characters that are interested in science and to put the Minnesota Science Museum on the map and they’re assuring that plenty of purple sweatshirts are being printed.

The crews at Regency are making their way down to the first floors of the first three buildings. They’re continuing with prep work and painting in the 2210, 2220, and 2230 Buildings. They’ll wrap these Buildings up tomorrow and then also start prep work and painting on Building #4, the 2240 Building.

And if you’ve hardly noticed our presence, we can in part thank our diligent and clean crews and also the fine folks at Sherwin Williams for their ProMar 200 product. This prodect has zero VOC, which means it cuts down on that ‘paint smell’ and also chemicals put into the air you breathe. Thanks Sherwin Williams!

Nothing ‘strange’ happening in these halls…just the crew getting the job done.

Cesar rolls on the paint in the accent alcove.

If you wanna make the world a better place, take a look at yourself, and make a change!

Victor cuts in the edges in the 2220 Building.

The ceilings are sprayed and now they’ll start on the walls on 1st floor of the 2230 Building.

And last, but definitely not least- a shout out to Hernando, your fearless Property Manager who has helped facilitate a smooth project!

Tuesday, November 7th: Hello residents of Regency Woods! In case you missed the recent article– the Wall Street Journal recently named Minneapolis as one of the Top 10 Places to Travel in 2018. Though we may have been put on the map due to hosting the Superbowl come February, the article boasts our rising foodie scene with 13 James Beard 2017 Award finalists. Cheers to that, Minneapolis!

The crews in the 1st three buildings are continuing to work their way from top to bottom. They are finishing up on the 3rd floors and also painting on the 2nd floor.

Friday, November 3rd: Greetings and TGIF! It looks like we’ll have a snowy and rainy mix this weekend, but there is light at the end of the tunnel. Next week looks like it’ll warm up a bit and we’ll also get some love from the sun!

Sunshine ahead!

Here are a few ideas to get out and about this weekend and your MN sports cast: NE Minneapolis is hosting Open Studios this weekend. Four art hubs in the NE area are opening their doors and have varying displays, sales, demonstrations, and also activities for the kids! Also, starting this Sunday, Linden Hill will host their weekly Holiday Markets- they’re kicking off the festivities with numerous craftspeople, artisan foods, and ready-made foods to try. And in sports, the Vikings have a Bye this week, the Timberwolves face the Dallas Mavericks on Saturday and then the Charlotte Hornets on Sunday, and the Wild will face their rivals the Blackhawks on Saturday.

Today, we’re continuing in the 2210 and 2220 Buildings and then beginning in the 2230 Building. The crews are working on the 3rd floors completing wall repairs, spraying ceilings, and applying the 2nd coat to the walls. Pictures coming soon!

Thursday, November 2nd: The Houston Astros have finally done it! They’ve won their first World Series since having joined the Major League in 1962. Last night they won the series in Game 7 against the LA Dodgers at Dodger Stadium. The Astros will continue their celebrations in Houston with a parade to City Hall on Friday.

As they begin their celebrations, so can you! Today, we are starting your painting project at Regency Woods!

We’re beginning our prep work and painting in 2 Buildings – 2210 &  2220. We’ll be starting in the 2230 Building tomorrow as well! The progression for painting will follow the same route for each building- starting on the 3rd floor and working our way down. They’ll first begin with prep work- ceiling and wall repairs, then they’ll spray the ceilings, and finally they’ll roll out the walls.

Your Regency Crew- Elmer, Alvaro, Juan, Francisco, Marvin, Wilmer, and Victor.

Monday, October 30th: Hello residents of Regency Woods and welcome to your project page! Here, you can stay current on your project progress as we’ll provide updates several times a week and reflect any changes or modifications to the schedule if they come up.

This year’s painting project entails prepping and painting common areas in all 6 Buildings. We’ll begin your project this Thursday and we’ll start in the 2210 and 2220 Buildings. We anticipate the entire project to take about 4-6 weeks. We’ll have a better idea of our timeline once the crews get rolling (literally).

We appreciate your patience and grace as we’ll be painting in your common areas. Though we can promise to do our best to minimally disrupt your day to day activities.

Thank you so much for the opportunity to work with and for you and we’ll see you on Thursday!
