Thursday, December 21st: Good afternoon residents of Opus 2!
We hope you’re staying warm as we prepare for the big temperature drop over the next few days!
The crews at Opus 2 are wrapping up on the 1st and 2nd floors today and will likely complete the project, except maybe a few touch ups tomorrow. Thank you for having us onsite to spruce up your hallways. It has been our pleasure working with and for you. We wish you a warm holiday season and happy new year!

Wednesday, December 20th: Happy Wednesday! It seems as though the predicted range of 2″ to 12″ of snow for the end of this week has settled to potential for 1-2 inches, but one thing that’s certain is the major drop in temperature for Christmas. We’re looking at 2 degrees, which would be the coldest since 1996.
The crews at Opus 2 and working on the 1st and 2nd floors, painting the accent colors above and below the hallway chair rail. Both of the crews should be wrapping up by tomorrow and you’ll have your hallways complete for the holidays!

Tuesday, December 19th: Good afternoon!
Here is a quick update — there are crews working on both the 3rd and 1st floors. They’re prepping the walls for painting and then also completing painting in sections of the hallways. We’re anticipate they also start on the 2nd floor this afternoon or tomorrow and then complete the project by end of day on Thursday.
Monday, December 18th: Good afternoon residents of Opus 2!
The Vikings have done it; they’ve won the NFC North with their 34-7 win over the Bengals yesterday. They take on Green Bay in WI next Saturday and if they win, they’ll clinch a first-round playoff bye. There’s still a ways to go, but this win makes us one step closer to …dare we say it, Superbowl 52 at US Bank Stadium?!
The crews at Opus 2 are working on the 3rd and 1st floors. They’re prepping the walls for painting and then also beginning painting in some sections.

Friday, December 15th: Good morning and TGIF!
It’s a big day for Star War’s fans — The Last Jedi opens today! Last night’s premiere viewings brought in an estimated 45 Million!

Monday, December 11th: Good morning and Happy Monday! We hope you all had a great weekend. We are back into the ‘wintery mix’ of weather. The week ahead in weather is sticking to the 30s and some potential for light snow throughout the week.

The Opus 2 crew was starting a differenct job today and will be back onsite in Minnetonka tomorrow. They’ll begin prepping and painting the hallway walls on the 3rd floor. Thanks!
Friday, December 8th: TGIF! Happy Friday everyone! The weather is warming up a bit this weekend as we get into 30 degree temperatures, woo! ‘Tis the season of holiday shopping, rowded parking lots, and countless holiday celebrations. The Holidazzle is a continued festive attraction this weekend along with many other holiday markets, bazaars, pop up shops, etc around the Twin Cities; plenty of places to get those unique and ‘Minnesotan’ gifts.
The Opus 2 Crew has moved down to the first floor. They are prepping and spraying the ceiling today. They’ll then continue next week with the hallway wall painting. Have a great weekend!

Thursday, December 7th: Good afternoon and Happy Thursday!
Leave it to Starbucks to create a wintery Frappucino – the ‘Christmas Tree Frappucino‘ has made it’s debut and will be available until Monday, 12/11. If you like thin mints, this cold treat will be right up your alley. It’s a mint mocha base, matcha flavored whipped topping, and a garland of caramel, candied cranberries, and a strawberry tree-topper. Bring on the sugar rush!

Wednesday, December 6th: Greetings and welcome back to your project blog!
TIME Magazine has named it’s ‘2017 Person of the Year’ and they’ve selected the Silence Breakers, “the individuals who set off a national reckoning over the prevalance of sexual harassment.” The magazine bestowes the title upon an individual or group of people who the magazine’s editors believe have most influenced news and events of the past year, “for good or ill.” The #metoo hastag also emerged to unify those millions of people who have come forward with their stories. Tuesday, December 5th: Good afternoon residents of Opus 2! It’s been just under a month and we are getting ready to be back onsite tomorrow.
The remainder of the painting project includes hallway ceiling and wall painting. We’ll be back onsite tomorrow and will be starting on the 3rd floor. Thanks!

Thursday, November 9th: Good afternoon Opus 2!
Last night the Country Music Awards put on their 51st Award Show. Hosts Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisely were up to their usual antics, but refrained from any polical jokes and instead, conveyed the message of family and banding together. There were numerous great performances and also a major blip from the Entertainer of the Year, Garth Brooks… let’s just say our lips are sealed.
The crew at Opus 2 is continuing with their wallpaper removal and we anticipate they’ll finish with it tomorrow. The crew is also working to remove the accent trim pieces in your hallways. This will make way for the chair rail installation and then the hallway painting.

Wednesday, November 8th: Greetings and Happy Hump Day! We’ve made it to mid-week!
Is anyone watching the Netflix craze ‘Stranger Things?’ Recently one of the young characters was sporting a Science Museum of Minnesota sweatshirt with a Brontosaurus featured on the front. It didn’t take long for the museum’s online shop to crash and for their in-store stock to be sold out. The Museum is excited to have TV characters that are interested in science and to put the Minnesota Science Museum on the map and they’re assuring that plenty of purple sweatshirts are being printed.
The Opus 2 crew is making their way through wallpaper removal on the 2nd floor. They’re about halfway completed and are also removing some trim pieces on the 3rd floor. We anticipate to be done with the wallpaper removal and wall prep on Friday!
Tuesday, November 7th: Hello residents of Opus 2! In case you missed the recent article– the Wall Street Journal recently named Minneapolis as one of the Top 10 Places to Travel in 2018. Though we may have been put on the map due to hosting the Superbowl come February, the article boasts our rising foodie scene with 13 James Beard 2017 Award finalists. Cheers to that, Minneapolis!
The crew at Opus 2 is completing wallpaper removal on the 2nd and 1st floors today. They’re also continuing to remove the wallpaper on the elevator lobby walls.

Monday, November 6th: Good morning and Happy Monday residents of Opus 2! Welcome to your Project Page, here you can stay apprised of project progress, scheduling, and the general scope of work.
The crews will first be completing wallpaper removal in the alcoves of your residence doors and also wallpaper removal of the elevator lobby walls. Your management is then reinstalling the wall sconces and a chair rail in the hallways. We’ll then be back onsite to paint in the hallways above and below the chair rails.
Today, the crew will be exclusively working on the 3rd floor completing wallpaper removal.Then tomorrow they’ll move onto the 2nd and 1st floors to continue wallpaper removal, which we anticipate will be done by week’s end. Our crew will then be back onsite to paint once the sconces and chair rails have been installed. We’re coordinating closely with Dan, your onsite manager to collaborate on scheduling and to ensure an organized and seemless finish.
