Have a great weekend!

Thursday, July 27th: Good morning Cloisters at Birch Lake!

The sun is shining and the crew is back at it! They’ll be finishing up the 3rd building today. Thank you so much for having us. It has been our pleasuring being onsite and sprucing up your buildings. We hope you have a great rest of the summer!

Wednesday, July 26th:

With the pouring of rain we got last night and the showers that are still passing through this morning, the crew will not be onsite today. Thanks and we’ll see you tomorrow!

Tuesday, July 25th: Good afternoon! We’re only a month away from the ‘Big MN Get-Together!’ Which foods are you excited for? We’re looking forward to the Bowl O-Dough – a bowl of safe-to-eat cookie dough that comes in 4 flavors. It’s also been announced that Vanessa Carlton will open for the one and only Stevie Nicks on August 25th.

While you’re busy dreaming of all the foods on a stick, the crew is continuing to prep and paint on the third building. They’re planning to wrap up tomorrow, weather pending. Thanks!

Painting the garage soffits.

Hello up there!

Monday, July 24th: Good afternoon Cloisters at Birch Lake. We hope you all had a great weekend and enjoyed the gorgeous weather!

The crew is beginning the prep work and also painting on the 3rd building (4734/4736/4738). Pictures coming soon!

Friday, July 21st: Good afternoon and happy Friday!! Lots of things happening around the Twin Cities as usual this weekend: The Aquatennial continues with events today through Saturday, Anoka is hosting a food truck festival on Saturday, and Stillwater’s Lumberjack Days is tomorrow and Sunday. Hopfully the rain holds out for any adventures/activities you have planned!

The crew is finishing on 4716/4720 today then on Monday they will begin their prep and painting of the 3rd building- 4734/4736/4738. Will post pictures soon!

Thursday, July 20th: Good morning! The crew is on hold for today. The exterior substrates got pretty wet from all of the rain and we want to make sure everything dries out completely before we paint. They hope to be back onsite tomorrow, though it looks like more rain may be in the forecast. Stay tuned here on the blog – we’ll be sure to keep you updated of any further delays.

*Update- It looks like things are drying pretty quickly and the crew will be onsite this afternoon to resume their prep and painting. Thanks!

Wednesday, July 19th: Good morning Cloisters at Birch Lake. The annual Aquatennial Celebration kicks off today with various events in Minneapolis. Some of which include a blood drive, a tennis classic, food trucks & lawn games, the Torchlight 5k, then followed by the Torchlight Parade. The Minnesota Aquatennial was started to celebrate the city’s lakes, rivers, and streams and while the city still incorporates ‘water-loving’ events, it also includes events centered around Minneapolis culture, family, and fun. Here’s the link to the official website with all the details for the 4-day celebration!

The crew is finishing their painting on the 4728/4732 building today and then will begin prepping and painting on the 4716/4720 building today as well. If the weather holds, they’ll likely begin prep work on the final building 4734/4736/4738 on Thursday. Pictures coming soon!

Tuesday, July 18th:

Prep work and caulking is underway.

Caulking, scraping, and taping are all crucial steps to prep work.

Ladders up and the crew is completing prep work.

Friday, July 14th: Good morning residents of Cloisters at Birch Lake and TGIF! It’s going to be hot, hot, hot tomorrow so make sure to drink lots of water and try and stay out of the heat. If you’re looking for some fun and free stuff to do this weekend, the City Pages puts out Freeloader Friday– a summary of various happenings around the Twin Cities. Movies in the Park- Zootopia at Lake Harriet is playing tonight, the Ramset County Fair is all weekend, and then a Bastille Day block party at Barbette in Uptown on Sunday are a few that stand out.

The crew is finishing up the last 2 buildings today with pressure washing. They’ll be back onsite Monday, 7/17 to begin prepping and painting. There was a slight change in order of completion. They’ll be starting on the 4728/4732 Building first, then 4716/4720, and finally 4734/4736/4738.

Thanks and have a great weekend!

Spraying the soffits.

Making sure we have clean surfaces to paint.

Well, this is one way to stay cool!

Tuesday, July 11th: Good morning and welcome to your project blog. Your project will be getting underway on Tuesday, July 13th with pressure washing the 3 buildings designated for painting. You should have seen a blue notice posted on your garage door frame to indicate the upcoming pressure washing. We’ll be pressure washing select wood substrates on the exterior including- siding, soffits, garage doors/frames, wood deck railings/spindles, skirt and support pillars. To allow for safe and unobstructed access for washing and finishing, we ask that you please remove any small and/or personal items from the outside of your home/deck. You do not need to completely clear your deck of its contents.

The crew will pressure wash Thursday and Friday of this week and then be back on Monday, 7/17 to begin prepping and painting the included surfaces of the first building (working from south to north in the association). These are the addresses included in this year’s project: 4716, 4720, 4728, 4732, 4734, 4736, and 4738.

We anticipate the entire project to take approximately 10-14 days to complete, but may be affected by weather. Please keep checking back, right here on the blog for progress updates and any weather delays if they occur.

Thanks so much and we’ll see you on Thursday!
