Oak Glen – Edina

Oak Glen – Edina

PROJECT COMPLETE

Greetings and welcome to your project blog for your deck project at Oak Glen in Edina. We are looking forward to working with and for you!

Welcome Video

Friday, May 18th: Hello and TGIF!

The weather looks pretty good for this weekend, with the possibility of some passing showers, but mostly warm and dry, which is good news for Art-a-Whirl. The event is this weekend and entails open art studios, workshops, markets, and any/all reasons to get out and enjoy exploring and connecting with the artist community in Northeast Minneapolis- read also that a lot of local breweries and establishments have coordinating events as well!  And let’s not forget the Royal Wedding and more importantly don’t forget to set an alarm- 6am is when the festivites are starting. Brit’s Pub on Nicollet Ave is hosting a viewing party from 5am-9am. Cheers!

The crew is wrapping up the deck painting project at Oak Glen today. And we want to say thank you for having us and we hope you enjoy your freshly painted deck areas! Have a great weekend!

Another day and another railing section.

Tis the season for exterior painting and safari hats. Stay cool!

Thursday, May 17th: Hello residents of Oak Glen!

The Royal Wedding is in two days and social media is having a heyday as many people have been following along in the planning since Prince Harry and Megan Markle’s engagement. One thing we’re looking forward to is Will Ferrell and Molly Shannon’s revival of their TV fictional characters Cord and Tish to live broadcast coverage of the Royal Wedding on HBO

Two by two

The crew is tackling your deck railings.

Wednesday, May 16th: Greetings and happy heatwave Wednesday! Though we’re pretty sure these warmer temperatures are welcomed after our long MN winter!

The crew is carrying on at Oak Glen and painting your deck surfaces – undersides, skirts, railings, handrails, and flower boxes.

Painting the divider wall posts.

Prepped and covered to paint the deck undersides.

Tag teaming the deck railings.

Friday, May 11th: Hello and TGIF!

The crew is making their way through your association and painting your decks- they’ve started on the West side of the property and are moving toward the middle. The weather has been hit or miss this week but we’re hopeful there will be a dry stretch next week and we can wrap up your project.

We want to with all of the moms a Happy Mother’s Day!!

Monday, May 7th: Good morning and happy Monday! We hope you all enjoyed your weekend – it was one for the books!

The crew is off and running at Oak Glen this morning. They’ll begin prepping and painting the included deck areas and continue through the week. We’ll be keeping a watchful eye on the weather for potential rain and keep you updated if there are delays. Thanks!

Pictures coming soon!

Thursday, May 3rd: “And they’re off!” is quite a fitting expression as your crew is eagerly starting your project today and the 144th Kentucky Derby is this Saturday, 5/5.

The crew will be making their way around your association pressure washing elected areas in advance of painting. Thank you for your cooperation in moving items from your deck. As long as the weather cooperates, i.e. no rain, the crews will return onsite on Monday to begin the prepping and painting.

Thanks!

Washing surfaces to ensure proper adhesion of the paint.

Ladders up and away we go!

Wednesday, May 2nd: Hello residents of Oak Glen and welcome to your project blog!

We’ll be getting things underway tomorrow, 5/3 with pressure washing included deck areas: deck undersides, deck skirts, deck railings & handrails, and flower boxes. We ask that you please remove any belongings from your deck for the washing. Once the areas have been pressure washed, they’ll need sufficient time to dry and then our crew will be back onsite to begin painting. Weather permitting, the painting will begin on Monday, May 7th. Once started, we anticipate the project to take about a week to a week and a half.

You can stay up-to-date on project progress here on the blog as we’ll post several times a week, post progress pictures, and alert residents of any delays due to weather.

We’re looking forward to sprucing up your deck areas so you can enjoy the space on these much-anticipated spring and summer days!
