Private Residence – Eden Prairie

Private Residence – Eden Prairie

PROJECT COMPLETE

Wednesday, April 18th: Here we are in the middle of April, still surrounded by mountains of snow. Slowly, but surely the weather will warm up and we’ll transition to spring!

In the meantime, here are a few ‘After’ pictures from this private residence in Eden Prairie. The painting is complete and we’re putting on the finishing touches, hardware and final touch ups. It has been our pleasure transforming this home with what we do best – a fresh coat of paint.

Wednesday, February 28th: As February comes to a close, so too does the painting project at the private residence in Eden Prairie. While we wait for finalized color/hardware selections, the crew is performing touchups and getting things tidied up….we hope that when the homeowners return it will feel sorta like this…

Thursday, February 15th: Now that Cupid has drawn back his bow, it’s time to let our arrows go as the priming gets underway on Thursday afternoon. Because we are using an oil primer, this means 2 things…

1. It’s going to smell to high heavens for a bit (fear not, it will dissipate over time)

2. It will take some time to dry…yes, that is why the cliche watching “paint dry exists.”

So, the working days will be a bit shorter as the primer dries, but it’s all part of the process!

The key to any good painting project…leaving a paper trail.

Rosin paper is all the rage in flooring trends for 2018.

Wednesday, February 14th:  Love is in the air at the private residence project in Eden Prairie and the courtship with the project is well underway. But instead of a dozen roses or a box of chocolates, the way we show our love in the painting world is with plastic, paper, and tape….LOTS OF IT!!!!! This ensures that paint ends up where it is supposed to!

The crew’s efforts are primarily focused at current on the upper level and that will be the case for the remainder of the week.

Drawing on the wisdom of NKOTB, there’s only one way to prep stairwells…Step by Step.

Masking film enables the painters to spray a smooth, even coat on cabinets.

When it comes to coverage, Roell Painting is widely considered to be the Xavier Rhodes of the painting world.

Thursday, February 8th: As we enter the doldrums of winter, and anxiously await the arrival of spring, one way to beat the doldrums is to create something new and bright and we are doing just that at a private residence in Eden Prairie.

Perhaps the best part about the project, which is slated to begin the week of 2/12, is that we’ve got a great canvas or “great bones” as they say, with which to work.

We are excited to highlight the transformation and you can view the ongoing progress right here on the blog!

Stay tuned! It’s amazing what a new coat of paint can do…but don’t take our word for it…

Even Tom Waits can tell you what a new coat of paint can do…
