Touch Up Map

Friday, August 6th: Hello and TGIF!

The crew has wrapped up the touch up painting slated for 2021. Thank you for having us onsite and we hope you have a great rest of the summer and year!

There may be blue tape marked in areas needing further attention after we complete a walk through, please leave the tape for the crew to take care of. Thanks!

Tuesday, August 3rd: Good afternoon!

The touch up crew is continuing across the including buildings. They are working on sections based on color — meaning they’ll complete all items with the same color and then move onto then next color and so on. They will be completing the chimneys as the last portion of the project. They are anticipating to be complete in the next 2-4 days. Thanks!

Monday, August 2nd: Good morning!

We can hardly believe it’s August already… is it just us or has summer flown by?!

The crew will resume their staining today and work through the deck stacks 11 – 15.

Once your deck has been stained, we recommend waiting 24 hours prior to returning the contents to your deck. The crew will be applying one coat of stain to your deck floor boards. Thank you!

Friday, July 30th: Greetings & TGIF!

The crew is onsite and they are continuing to work diligently on your project. They are working their way around the building to stain more decks. Enjoy your weekend!

Thursday, July 29th: Good morning!

The crew is back onsite today after yesterday’s rain delay. They have started staining the decks at Building #1 and will make their way around the route to stain the decks through Building #5 today.

The new stain looks great on your decks!

Wednesday, July 28th: Greetings!

The crew will not be onsite today due to the rain. They will return when the surfaces have had time to dry so they can continue working on your project. Have a great rest of your day!

Tuesday, July 27th: Good morning!

The crew is about halfway through pressure washing your decks. They will make their way through and wash the remaining decks today. The crew is tentative to begin staining tomorrow starting at deck stack #1.

Monday, July 26th: Hello and happy project start day!

The crew is off and running and starting to pressure wash your decks. They’ll begin at the Village Lane entrance side and work clockwise around the building to pressure wash and then also to return and stain.

Detergent wash working to pull prior stains, coatings etc from the deck boards.

Applying the detergent wash ahead of pressure washing the deck floor.

Friday, July 23rd: Greetings Residents of Village on 9 Mile Creek!

Welcome to your project blog for the upcoming deck staining project at Village on 9 Mile Creek in Bloomington!

We have a crew that will be kicking off with pressure washing on Monday, 7/26. We kindly request that homeowners close their windows and remove all items off their deck for the pressure washing to allow for safe and unobstructed access for washing.

Once the substrates have had time to dry, the crew will return to begin prepping and staining your deck floors. We are projecting the painting/staining work to begin on Wednesday, 7/28.

We are projecting that the project will take approximately 3-4 weeks to complete.

The best way to obtain a project status update and any impact it may have on your daily routine will be posted here as we’ll share progress throughout, photos, and any weather delays.

Please reach out to the contacts below if you have any questions.

We’re looking forward to getting started this week!

    Good Morning!
A bit concerned on all the supplied stored on top of our “new” landscaping.
Location of concern: East side of building, by 12 Stack. It was originally just
cans and water, now a cart, a ladder and bags of garbage. I went and
looked, and several plants have been walked on.

Hi Tracy – thank you for the note. I’ve sent a message to the crew lead and our field supervisor to remove items stored at your unit. I also apologize for the damage done to your plants. Let me see the best way we can remedy and I will get back to you. Thanks! Dana

Can you provide scheduling information regarding the touch-up painting on the townhouses? Is there a map of the townhouse buildings and a schedule for touch-up? We would appreciate more information about when to expect workers. Thanks!

Hello! Just wondering if your team plans on painting all of the edges of our boards? I see that some units ends are finished and some are not. It does look much better and cleaner stained with the ends showing as that is what the public sees? Thank you so much for the hard work that’s been done so far.

      Hi Karie,
We are only staining the deck floor boards as part of the contract this year. Some that are stained may be from previous years. Thank you!
