Greetings and welcome to the official project blog for the painting project at Loft on Arts in Minneapolis! We’re thrilled you found us!
Friday, December 12th: Well, Friday got off to an interesting start at Lofts on Arts! As alluded to earlier in the week, multiple trades would be happening simultaneously and this morning, dust from the flooring install process triggered the fire alarm (literally!) at Lofts on Arts. On the bright side, 2 good things came from this…
1. Nobody was hurt
2. Your smoke detectors are fully operational!
After that fork in the road, it was back to business as usual and the guys are down on 1st floor replicating the work that was completed on 2nd floor on Thursday. Right now, we are still on pace for a Saturday completion at which point in time the final accent walls will be painted and the areas in the garage level lobby will be completed as well!

Thursday, December 11th: Another day in the books at Lofts on Arts and I think you’ll see that things are really starting to take shape. The second floor walls are nearing completion (except the radish accent walls) and at this rate we are headed for a Saturday completion!
Kudos again to the design choices…the combination of colors look very sharp!
As we near the end of the week, it bears mentioning once again how truly grateful we are to everybody there for their ongoing cooperation. The good news is we’ll be out of your hair even more quickly than expected!

Wednesday, December 10th: The fellas are making great progress at Lofts on Arts and today is no exception. They completed all the door frames and the baseboards on the second floor yesterday and they are repeating that process on the 1st floor hallway today. We’ll have to play nicely with the other contractors in the space as it sounds like there will be other trades going on simultaneously.
Keep your eyes peeled tomorrow as we will begin to roll out the wall colors up on the second floor, which will really begin to signal the transformation of the space. We hope you are as excited as we are.
As you can imagine, we are on a LOT of projects throughout the course of a year, and every now and again, you come across somebody who is truly inspiring. This time around, that person is none other than Mr. Don Jones who has truly captivated us with his wisdom, his attention to detail, and his wealth of experience in all things construction! Truth be told, he has made our job as painters infinitely easier. We are grateful for him, for Bruce (who found him), and of course, all of you folks at Lofts on Arts for letting us do what we do best!

Tuesday, December 9th: We’re off and running at Lofts on Arts in Minneapolis and this is in large part due to the incredible cooperation of your fearless manager, Mr. Bruce Andrews. Additionally, special thanks to Jessica, Joe, Dennis, and Don for their input, decisiveness and hard work leading up to the painting phase. We are so excited to be part of the transformation that is underway and we are as excited as you to see the end result!

We anticipate the project taking about 1 – 1.5 weeks to complete and the guys will get things started today by prepping the baseboards and door frames throughout the 1st/2nd floors. We ask that you please use caution when traversing the hallways as there is a high degree of likelihood that there is wet paint somewhere!
You can stay tuned right here for project updates and any impact it will have on your day-day routines. Obviously, there will be clear visible signs of work being performed and we thank everybody in advance for their cooperation!
