Wednesday, June 15th: Now that the rains have subsided and the substrates have dried, the fellas started a little later today and things are humming again at Elm Creek. The fellas are going to put in a long day toay and we are projecting that the project should wrap up by Thursday.
Our crew chief Obed will be performing the first of two independent walk-throughs, then our field manager/job supervisor Jesse will be performing a second inspection where the intent is to address any and all outstanding touchups. As we always say, no job is complete until you say so, and we will be inviting any interested parties and/or your manager to participate in a walk-through as well.
Thanks everybody…we look forward to wrapping things up with a flourish by the end of the week!

Thursday, June 9th: In our business, no news is good news and after some of your initial questions/concerned were addressed, it’s business as usual at Elm Creek. And by business as usual, we mean that rains have yet again halted paint work throughout the metro. It’s not been a particularly great spring for painting! Nevertheless, the fellas did take advantage of favorable conditions the past three days and the project is about 35-40% completed. We will continue to watch the weather and obviously will work diligently as the weather permits. Have a great rest of the week and stay cool as it looks like the mercury is on the RISE!!!!

Tuesday, June 7th: Hello again Elm Creek residents. We hope you are enjoying the beautiful weather! With the mercury significantly rising by week’s end, we are taking full advantage of the pristine conditions and the guys have completed approximately 5 of the buildings as they make their way south through the association.
We want to thank the residents for all their feedback thus far, and all their great questions. Painting, just like Henry Ford and the Model-T, is much like an assembly line with each crew member specializing in a specific task. Some crew members are “tapers,” some are “scrapers” and primers, and some are the final coat applicators. With that being said, if you happen to see an area that appears incomplete as of yet, THIS IS TOTALLY NORMAL. As we scrape and prime, the crew is applying a specialty adhesion primer, Sherwin Williams PrimeRx, which will help lock down any ridges (after scraping) to the underlying substrate. This primer goes on somewhat clear, so it may not be readily noticeable to the untrained eye. Nevertheless, we are confident that it will promote adhesion and longevity.
Like we always say here at Roell Painting, no job is complete until YOU SAY SO, and we have tried and true protocols in place to ensure that we are upholding our high quality standards.

Friday, June 3rd:Greetings residents of Elm Creek! Perhaps you’ve found your way to our humble little blog by way of blue notices posted throughout your property, notifying you of our pending arrival to begin painting. If that is the case, welcome!
Among the areas designated for completion are your garage door frames, front door frames, and kickplates.
While most of the project will be minimally disruptive to your daily routine, painting your front door frames will require some cooperation on your end. We kindly ask that if you have a storm door, please leave it unlocked so the crew can access your front door frame for painting. Your help is greatly appreciated.
