Welcome Video

Wednesday, June 27th: Hello!

With the rain behind us, the surfaces have dried out for us to wrap up our painting. The crew is completing the last few stacks today! We’ll need to then complete a quality inspection/walk through and mark any areas needing touch ups. We deem your project complete once you are completely satisfied with our workmanship.

Monday, June 25th: Good morning! We hope you all had a great weekend.

The crew is onsite and wrapping up the last few stacks of buildings and will be complete by the end of the day. We want to say thank you again for having us. It has been our pleasure sprucing up your building and deck areas! Have a great rest of the summer!

Friday, June 22nd: Hello and TGIF!

The crew is cruising around your building and checking deck stacks off the list. They have 5 stacks left- so they’ve prepped and painted through the ‘122’ stack. There are a few misc. areas that remain outside of the deck stacks, which they’ll tackle tomorrow and Monday.

2 by 2 – they are tandem rolling and spraying!

Prep work: tape and plastic on one of the stacks.

Thursday, June 21st: Good afternoon!

The crew has moved to the rear of the building and painting 2-3 more deck stacks today. They’ll also continue to prep the next stacks. They’ve completed the 101 stack through the 108 stack.

Taping and prep work continues.

Taking care of your porch, one stack at a time.

Wednesday, June 20th: Good morning residents of Opus 2. The rain has passed and the crew is back onsite! They’re finishing up deck floors on the first 3 stacks as well as priming the stacks around the corner on the right side on the map above. They’ll also begin painting those areas that have been primed. Thanks!

Staining the deck floors.

Ladders up to paint the siding boards.

Tuesday, June 19th: Happy Tuesday!

We seem to be having a bit of deja vu. We have another rain delay today – stay tuned as to when the crew will be back onsite!

Monday, June 18th: Good afternoon residents of Opus 2. With the weekend, over night and today’s rain, our crew is not onsite today. We’re keeping an eye on the weather and hoping it clears so the substrates can dry out and we can get back onsite. Stay tuned as to when we’ll return. Thanks!

Friday, June 15th: Hello and TGIF!

Mother Nature has ordered up some ‘Hot & Humid’ weather for the weekend with the possibility of showers/storms scattered throughout. You can take your chances and head outdoors for numerous Farmer’s Markets as well as the Stone Arch Bridge Festival happening over the weekend. Don’t forget about Father’s Day on Sunday! 3 cheers for all the dads, grandpas, uncles, great-grandpas, and all of the dudes that have influenced you!

The crew finished 4 ‘stacks’ yesterday and will continue making their way around counter clockwise. They’re doing about 4 stacks a day, so if you want to count ahead, weather permitting, as to when we’ll be at your unit. Thanks and have a great weekend!

The crew is cruising across the ‘stacks’ of decks!

Thursday, June 14th: Good morning residents of Opus 2!

The crew has prepped the entry area and the first three stacks moving to the right of the entrance. Today they’ll continue moving around the corner to prep another stack as well as start to spray the siding- starting with the entry area. Thanks!

The first few stacks are prepped and now they’re brushing and rolling on the paint.

Painting the window bump out siding.

Wednesday, June 13th: Hello!

We are off! The crew have started their prep and painting in Phase I. They are completing caulking and priming on the building before they can apply the top coat.

Prepping and priming is the name of Tuesdays game @ Opus 2.

Thorough prep yields a smooth finish.

Tuesday, June 12th: Good morning residents of Opus 2! We’re continuing with the remainder of the pressure washing today. We’ll then begin with the painting portion in Phase 1 of the project. Thanks!

Day 1 of pressure washing is complete.

Pressure washing ensures the surfaces are clean and ready for adhesion.

Thursday, June 7th: Hello and welcome to your project blog for this year’s painting project at Opus 2. We’ll be prepping and finishing select wood siding, deck/common area metal railings, select front/rear soffits, roof “doghouse” and 7 common area light poles.

We’ll start the project off by pressure washing on Monday, June 11th and Tuesday, June 12th. Please close your windows for the pressure washing portion of the project. Once the surfaces have had time to dry, we’ll be back onsite to begin the painting portion of the project. This will be done in phases, as shown above in blue or pink. We’ll begin at the front of your building and work counter clockwise around to complete painting at your unit. Weather will be the biggest deterent from the projected schedule so stay tuned here on the blog for progress updates, photos, and any changes/delays in the schedule. Thanks and we’ll see you on Monday!

Knock, knock. Who’s there? Roell Painting and we’re ready to pressure wash on Monday, June 11th.
