As we are working at each building, the crew will knock on resident doors to be painted. If you’re available, kindly open your door to be painted. Once we get through Buildings 1-5 we’ll post notices with further information regarding signing up for a specific day/time to paint your door. Look for that in the next week.

Tuesday, July 28th: Good afternoon!

The crew staining several buildings yesterday – 8, 9, 10 and 11. We’ll be staining Building 12 tomorrow and then 13 later tomorrow and into Thursday, 7/30.

The next portion of the project will entail the prep and painting of misc. trim areas – front door frames, garage door frames, columns, posts, deck fascia, under entry pickets, skirts, pillars, brackets, decorative fencing & archways/soffits.

We will also be painting your front doors as part of this summer’s project. We will need some cooperation from each homeowner as we prefer to paint the door in the open position. This will require you to be home and open the doors for us to paint. As we are painting on each building, we will be knocking several time. Kindly open the door to be painted if you are home and can then leave the door open for 2 hours to dry fully. We want to thank you in advance for your participation and cooperation to paint your doors!

Painting will tentatively begin on Thursday, at Building 1 and continue to make their way around to all of the buildings.

We hope you all had a great weekend!

Friday, July 24th: Good afternoon!

We would like to apologize to the homeowners in Building 6 — it was our mistake about staining at your building today without posting ample notice. I think with our goof up in the washing it had confused our scheduling. Again, we apologize. Please see the schedule above for the next several buildings to be stained and pressure washed.

Thursday, July 23rd: Good morning!

We are in progress washing at Building 10 and also staining at Building 5. We’ll move onto 6 tomorrow. Once the staining wraps up, about mid-week of next, we’ll go back through the buildings once again to paint the various trim areas. This will cover any stain that happened to cover trim pieces. Thank you!

Tuesday, June 30th: Good afternoon!

Welcome to your project blog for the upcoming deck staining project at Gables at Waterstone Bay.

We’ll be getting started on Monday, July 6th with pressure washing of the decking. We will start at the beginning of the route and wash one building per day for the week of 7/6. We will tentatively begin staining at Building #1 on Thursday, 7/9 or Friday, 7/10. Soon we’ll post a route map and tentative finishing schedule.

For the washing we kindly ask that you remove items from your deck to allow for safe and unobstructed access. You may replace personal items on your deck after the washing, but you’ll need to remove them again for the deck staining.

We’ll be initially staining your deck floors and entry stairs so you can put items back onto your deck. We will then make another pass through the association, following the same route to stain the deck skirts, posts, and other areas.

You can continue to follow the project progress here on the blog as we’ll provide frequent updates on the crew’s progress and alert you of any weather delays should they come up.

Thank you in advance for moving items from your deck for the pressure washing and then also for the staining. Once your deck has been stained, we recommend at least 24 hours to dry before returning items to your deck.

Have a great holiday weekend and we’ll see you onsite on Monday, 7/6!
