Thursday, August 6th: Greetings!
The crew is prepping and painting at Building 5 today. We’ve posted notices at Buildings 6 – 10 to notify you that we’ll be getting to your trim and decking painting in the next week. Thanks!
Tuesday, August 4th: Good afternoon!
The crew is continuing to paint along the route — your front entry trim and then your deck trim areas as well.
Monday, August 3rd: Good morning!
We hope you all had a great weekend. The crew is onsite and they are painting at Building #2.
Thursday, July 30th: Good afternoon!
We are finishing up the staining at Building 13 today as well as starting the painting portion of the project – including your front door frames, garage door frames, columns, posts, deck fascia, under entry pickets, skirts, pillars, brackets, decorative fencing & archways/soffits.
As we are working at each building, the crew will knock on resident doors to be painted. If you’re available, kindly open your door to be painted. Once we get through Buildings 1-5 we’ll post notices with further information regarding signing up for a specific day/time to paint your door. Look for that in the next week.
Wednesday, July 29th: Good morning!
Beautiful start to the day!
The crew is finishing up their pressure washing on Building 13 and will also be staining at Building 12 and potentially portions of 13.
Tuesday, July 28th: Good afternoon!
The crew staining several buildings yesterday – 8, 9, 10 and 11. We’ll be staining Building 12 tomorrow and then 13 later tomorrow and into Thursday, 7/30.
The next portion of the project will entail the prep and painting of misc. trim areas – front door frames, garage door frames, columns, posts, deck fascia, under entry pickets, skirts, pillars, brackets, decorative fencing & archways/soffits.
We will also be painting your front doors as part of this summer’s project. We will need some cooperation from each homeowner as we prefer to paint the door in the open position. This will require you to be home and open the doors for us to paint. As we are painting on each building, we will be knocking several time. Kindly open the door to be painted if you are home and can then leave the door open for 2 hours to dry fully. We want to thank you in advance for your participation and cooperation to paint your doors!
Painting will tentatively begin on Thursday, at Building 1 and continue to make their way around to all of the buildings.
Monday, July 27th: Greetings!
We hope you all had a great weekend!
The crew is resuming their pressure washing of Building 12 today and will finish the washing on 13 tomorrow.
They are staining at Building 8 today and will stain ~1 building each day to finish out the staining portion of the project.
Friday, July 24th: Good afternoon!
We would like to apologize to the homeowners in Building 6 — it was our mistake about staining at your building today without posting ample notice. I think with our goof up in the washing it had confused our scheduling. Again, we apologize. Please see the schedule above for the next several buildings to be stained and pressure washed.
Thursday, July 23rd: Good morning!
We are in progress washing at Building 10 and also staining at Building 5. We’ll move onto 6 tomorrow. Once the staining wraps up, about mid-week of next, we’ll go back through the buildings once again to paint the various trim areas. This will cover any stain that happened to cover trim pieces. Thank you!
Wednesday, July 22nd: Greetings!
We are pressure washing Building 9 today and finishing up the staining at Building 4 and moving onto Building 5 as well.
We’ll be updating the staining schedule here shortly after coordinating with the crew. Thanks!
Tuesday, July 21st: Good morning!
Rain delay for the staining portion of the project today. We’ll continue to wash Building 8 as planned. Thanks!
Reminder to please move items from decking for washing AND cars from under the decking. We appreciate your cooperation!
Monday, July 20th: Good afternoon!
The crew is washing Building 7 today and then finishing up the stain at building 3. They’ll also start to stain on building 4 today. Thank you!
Thursday, July 16th: Greetings!
The crew wrapped up on Building 2 today and is starting to stain at Building 3. They are taking about 1.5 days to stain the buildings. They will have more crew members onsite shortly after another project wraps up— then they’ll be able to complete more decks each day.
Reminder to wait 24 hours before returning items to your decks. Thanks!
Wednesday, July 15th: Good afternoon!
The crew is resuming their staining at Building 2 today and will continue on the same route above as they did for pressure washing. Thanks!

Welcome to your project blog for the upcoming deck staining project at Gables at Waterstone Bay.
We’ll be getting started on Monday, July 6th with pressure washing of the decking. We will start at the beginning of the route and wash one building per day for the week of 7/6. We will tentatively begin staining at Building #1 on Thursday, 7/9 or Friday, 7/10. Soon we’ll post a route map and tentative finishing schedule.
For the washing we kindly ask that you remove items from your deck to allow for safe and unobstructed access. You may replace personal items on your deck after the washing, but you’ll need to remove them again for the deck staining.
We’ll be initially staining your deck floors and entry stairs so you can put items back onto your deck. We will then make another pass through the association, following the same route to stain the deck skirts, posts, and other areas.
You can continue to follow the project progress here on the blog as we’ll provide frequent updates on the crew’s progress and alert you of any weather delays should they come up.
Thank you in advance for moving items from your deck for the pressure washing and then also for the staining. Once your deck has been stained, we recommend at least 24 hours to dry before returning items to your deck.
Have a great holiday weekend and we’ll see you onsite on Monday, 7/6!
