Winterwood Garden Homes – Burnsville

Winterwood Garden Homes – Burnsville

Wednesday, August 5th: Project complete! Pending final inspection

Greetings and welcome to the official project blog for Winterwood Garden Homes in Burnsville. We are SO glad you found us!

To schedule your front door painting, please comment on the blog with your address, the day and time you’d like us to paint, AND the color you’d like us to paint.

Wednesday, August 5th: The crew wrapped up painting the final 7 doors today at the association.  Yay!

The last item that needs to be done is a quality inspection which we hope to perform early next week.  Once that is done, we will walk the property with the association board or property manager!

Thanks again for having us at your beautiful association!

Monday, August 3rd: We were lucky enough to catch 5 of the remaining 7 homeowners whom have doors left to be painted!  Thanks to you we are working on contacting two remaining homeowners so we can paint all the doors in the association in the open position. That will be a record for us!

We look forward to seeing each of you homeowners on Weds!

Saturday, August 1st: Not sure how it happened, but all of a sudden, it’s August!!! The fellas have completed the pressure washing of the buildings and all the remains are painting of the following front doors:

15231, 15213, 15203, 15270, 15211, 15263, 15219, and 15245.

Residents of these addresses please keep your eyes peeled for notices that will be posted on your door alerting you that Wednesday will be your last opportunity to have your door painted in the open position. Thanks!!!

Thursday, July 30th: More beautiful summer weather has resulted in more great progress at Winterwood as the guys near completion on pressure washing your building. Thank you to the residents (you know who you are!) that have taken the time to reach out with complimentary things to say about our work and our crew! It is much appreciated!

Tuesday, July 28th: Thanks to the incredible cooperation of all the homeowners at Winterwood Garden Homes in Burnsville, the crew has managed to paint an astounding 45/60 doors in the open postion through the first 3 days of the project. We have 3 more days and 9 more days scheduled, which leaves only 6 doors unaccounted for. Things are progressing very, very well.

Monday, July 27th: First of all, thank you to all the residents of Winterwood Garden Homes for their great cooperation thus far in helping get your front doors painted. With such widespread participation from residents, the crew wound up painting about 60% of the front doors today and we are very optimistic that the vast majority of doors will be painted in the open position by the end of th week. Pressure washing continues and will be completed by Thursday as well.

Saturday, July 25th: Good morning residents of Winter Wood in Burnsville. As you may have surmised, pressure washing is going a little more deliberately than we anticipated and with only a single water source (the water trailer) we will only have two guys focusing on that aspect of the project. On Monday, we will begin painting front doors, and residents will have three colors to choose from. The colors are available for viewing at the community bullettin board (pictured below) and the notices we post on your front doors will provide with an area to specify which color you would like your front door painted. Beginning on Monday, painters will begin knocking on doors to attempt to paint them in the open position and these efforts will continue throughout the week. We kindly ask that you fill in your color preference and tape it on your front door, AND that if you are home when we knock, that you open your door so that we can paint it in the open position.

Here is the projected route, by day, for the pressure washing that will commence on Friday @ Winterwood.

Thursday, July 23rd: As the guys put the finishing touches on the trim painting at Winterwood, Pressure washing is scheduled to get underway TOMORROW, 7/24. Right now, we are forecasting that pressure washing will take a total of three days (Friday, Saturday, Monday) In addition to pressure washing, the guys will also be applying a cleaning solution to the areas before pressure washing to give all the buildings a much needed rinse-a-roo. Above is the projected schedule for pressure washing BY DAY. Please keep in mind this is our best estimate based on our projected time allotment per building so we ask that homeowners use this as a guideline as to when we will be pressure washing your building. To prepare for this stage of the project, we ask that homeowners do 2 things:

1. Please make sure all personal affects and belongings are moved away from the siding areas so as to give the crew enough room to maneuver while washing.

2. Please ensure that your windows are closed to prevent any mist/overspray from getting into your home. While we certainly exercise appropriate caution when pressure washing, it is advisable that homeowners take this step to be extra certain!

Thanks everybody. Please reference map above for scheduling.

Wednesday, July 22nd: Not too much to report out at Winterwood today as the fellas got the chimney top painting underway. Work in these areas will resume tomorrow, and pressure washing will get underway.

Keep your eyes peeled for front door notices being posted soon!

Tuesday, July 21st: As the saying goes, make hay while the sun shines. The crew did just that yet again out at Winterwood Garden Homes in Burnsville and have completed the trim areas on 4 more buildings. NOTE: Pressure washing will begin on Thursday and we will be applying a cleaning solution to your building AND then pressure washing essentially the whole building. We ask that homeowners please be mindful of having their personal belonging out during this phase of the project. Thanks!

Monday, July 20th: The crew has picked up right where they left off on Friday as they weave their way round 228 Greenhaven and head back down the opposite side of the street. With 227-255 and 215-237 being 6 unit townhomes, obviously those buildings will take longer to complete. Of course, we will keep you fully apprised of the progress right here on the blog. Thanks everybody!

Hey Gene Siskel, Nick Roell, how would you rate the painting project at Winterwood so far. “Two thumbs up, way up!”

Friday, July 17th: After rain put a damper on our plans for Thursday, Friday the sun is back out and the temperatures are on the rise. Thankfully, it’s not quite as hot as we thought it was going to be and we are making great progress so far today. By day’s end, we are projecting that the trim areas (except the chimney tops) will be completed on 4 Building (200-230 Greenhaven Way). Thanks to everybody thus far for their cooperation!

The savviest crew members are the ones that paint in the shade in the dog days of summer!

Wednesday, July 15th: Painting scheduled to start on Thursday, 7/16.
