Friday, September 22nd: TGIF and Happy First Day of Fall, although with the 90 degree heat wave, Minnesota clearly did not get the memo. Regardless, we can all enjoy the warmer weather today and this weekend! ‘Tis the season of The Renaissance Festival, Sever’s Corn Maze and various apple orchards and pumpkin patches throughout the metro area if you’re searching for weekend activities.

Last call for door painting @ Ridgewood, but there’s still time to sign up by commenting on the blog below with address and time requested. Otherwise, we’ll be painting the remaining doors in the closed positon. Thanks for your cooperation!

Thursday, September 21st: “Do you remember?” Anyone else have Earth, Wind, and Fire’s September song stuck in there head on this fitting day in September?

We wanted to extend a thank you to those homeowners who have reached out to schedule a time for door painting. It makes the process more efficient when we can paint on both your and our timelines. Thanks!

Tuesday, September 19th: Good afternoon residents of Ridgewood!

We’ll be completing our final day of door painting on Saturday, 9/23 from 9am until 4pm. Please comment on the blog below with your address and time requested. If you are unable to schedule a time we’ll be painting your door in the closed position. Thanks!

Friday, September 15th: TGIF! We’ve had a beautiful week of warm and clear weather and also a productive week painting doors at Ridgewood!

We’ll be posting notices today on the 16 remaining doors from Phase 1 that they will be painted this Saturday, 9/16. You may schedule a specific time by commenting below, here on the blog. Thanks!

Thursday, September 14th: It’s quite the heat wave Minnesota! Though we can’t really complain about the gorgeous weather while it’s still here and before Mother Nature throws fall and…winter at us.

The crew is painting scheduled doors today. There are still times available if you haven’t already signed up. Thanks!

Wednesday, September 13th: From one team to the next, the Gophers are gearing up for Saturday’s game vs. Middle Tennessee @ TCF Bank Stadium. Coach P.J. Fleck presented Goldy the Gopher with an early birthday present… check out the video to see the Gophers new helmets. We dig them!

The crew was onsite this morning making their way around Phase 2 and painting doors. They spent the afternoon at another jobsite, but will return later this evening and resume door painting.

Tuesday, September 12th: The Vikings got their first win last night, with a 29-19 victory over the New Orleans Saints. Next up, they’ll travel to Pittsburgh – bring it on!

The crew completed 26 doors yesterday and is continuing to make their way around Phase 2. Thanks in advance for opening up your doors for painting and/or for scheduling an appointment for painting!

Omar is all concentration as he paints the front door.

Monday, September 11th: We wanted to take a moment to reflect and remember the victims who lost their lives and also honor all of the heros from September 11th 2001.

It’s an exciting day in MN sports as the Vikings kick off the regular season at U.S. Bank Stadium as they take on the New Orleans Saints at 6pm. The Vikings will honor Randy Moss as he’s inducted into the Viking’s Ring of Honor during the pre-game. Also, Adrian Peterson will make his appearance as a Saint’s RB and face off against his previous team. SKOL VIKINGS!

We have a total of 16 doors left in Phase I. Thanks to everyone who was available and/or made an appointment to have their door painted. We’ve now moved onto Phase 2. As in the first phase, we’re taking appointments for Thursday through Saturday – check the tables above for availability. Thanks!

Manuel is careful to paint around the hardware on the door.

Santiago preps and cleans up the door.

Friday, September 8th: TGIF! Though the weather has turned a bit cooler, we are not short on outdoor weekend activities. Here are some suggestions for getting out and about and soaking up the weekend weather: Greek Fest near Calhoun, James J. Hill Days in Wayzata, and the NE Food Truck Rally at Able Seedhouse and Brewery. We hope you all have a great weekend!

We’re continuing to paint doors at scheduled times as well as knock on doors in hope to coordinate with homeowners whoa re home. We have quite a few doors left in Phase 1 that no one has been home or no appointment has been made. We’re hoping to cover a lot of ground this Saturday and Sunday. We appreciate your homeowner cooperation as we’ll need to paint your door in the open position. Thanks!

Omar checks another door off the list.

The big, green machine… Manuel tackles another door.

UPDATE- We’ll be onsite this Saturday and  Sunday, 9/10 and 9/11 to paint more doors in Phase 1. We’re hoping to catch as many residents as we can that are home and available to have their door painted. We’ll be knocking on doors in Phase 1, so please if you’re home, open your door and we’ll get it painted. Thanks!

Thursday, September 7th: Good afternoon! With the imminent threat of hurricane Irma to the U.S. and Florida, we are wishing the people of Florida quick and safe evacuations as well as safety to those already affected in Dominican Republic, Haiti, Turks and Caicos, Bahamas, and Cuba.

Continuing in Phase 1, the crew is making their way around to paint front doors. Thank you to those who have opened your doors for us to paint or who have scheduled a time. They’ve tackled 12 doors today. We’re still taking appointments for specific times for the rest of this week as well!

Omar paints and checks another door off the list.

Wednesday, September 6th: Hello residents of Ridgewood!

The crew is about complete with stripping of the doors that were defective. We’ll begin painting doors that have been scheduled tomorrow and through Saturday for Phase 1. A big thank you to those that have signed up for a time or who have been home and opened your door up to paint!

Tuesday, September 5th: Hello and Happy Tuesday! We hope you all had a great, long holiday weekend! The weather looks like a cooler week, but also a dry week, which is perfect for painting!

Cooler start to the week and then up to 80 for the weekend!

The crew has sanded and primed the defective (red notice) doors up to Building #9 and they should have the remaining doors stripped, sanded, and primed by the end of Wednesday. They’ve also made their way around to paint about 28 doors across the association. In the next day or two they’ll also walk the property to check for additional doors that need extra prep steps.

As a reminder, we’ll be painting doors based upon those scheduled this Thursday through Saturday. If you’re in Phase 1 and would like a specific time, pleas check the availability listed in the tables above and then comment with your address, date, and time requested. Thanks!

Santiago completed the prep work on one of the defective doors.

Friday, September 1st: The crew resumes door painting and also sanding and priming of the doors that were stripped yesterday. The crew will be taking the weekend off, as well as Monday.

We hope you all have a fun and safe holiday weekend!

Thursday, August 31st: And just like that we’re closing out August and moving into September!

It’s a big day for Minnesota sports- Twins vs. White Sox @ 1:10pm, Gophers vs. Buffalo Buffs @ 6pm, and the Vikings vs. Dophins @ 7pm. Lots of cheering and hopefully celebrating ahead!

The crew has stripped, sanded, and primed the defective doors through Building #7. They’re working at Building #8 and have abut half of those doors stripped. We’re finding a few more defective doors as we’re knocking and inspecting them prior to painting. So know, you may receive a red notive, which simply states your door will need a few extra steps of prep work prior to painting. You can still make an appointments for the front door painting as usual though.

Front doors are continuing to be painted as crew members are knocking on doors. They’ve painted about 35 total doors this week. The crew will not be onsite this Saturday or Monday, as they’ll be with family and friends celebrating the holiday weekend. Thanks!

Quick look from Omar and then he’s back to sanding.

Manuel scrapes and preps the door.

Santiago preps the door for painting.

Wednesday, August 30th: Hello and happy hump day. We’ve made it mid-week!

The door painting crew is still going strong! They’ve stripped another 7 doors and have about 15 total stripped. They’ll then work on sanding and priming them. We’re continuing to paint front doors as homeowners are home. They’ll continue to knock on doors for the remainder of the week, so if you’re home and have a couple hours, please open your door to   have a crew member paint it. They’re concentrating on Phase I- so Buildings 1-9. Thanks!

Santiago sands one of the defective doors.

Tuesday, August 29th: Good Morning residents of Ridgewood!

Our crew made a lot of progress yesterday: on the doors that need extra attention/steps, they’ve stripped 8 of those doors and will work on sanding and priming them this morning and then move onto the next grouping of doors. For the regular front door painting, the crew painted 11 doors of homeowners that were home in Buildings #1-3. Today, they’ll begin knocking on doors in Building #4 and continue to paint doors in which people are home.

Please continue to call and comment on the blog if you’d like to schedule a date/time for door painting. It truly makes the project run smoothest with cooperation and participation from homeowners and your help has been great thus far!

Some of your doors have been designated as having paint adhesion issues, you should have received a red notice if this is applicable to your door. Or you may receive this notice if adhesion issures arrise once we begin painting. These doors will require several separate steps over the next few weeks.

1. Chemically strip current coating (done with door closed/not needed to be home).

3. Apply 2 topcoats of paint (ideally done with the door in the OPEN position/ someone home to open door).

This process will begin on Monday, 8/28 and continue through Saturday, 9/16. After your door has been stripped, sanded and primed, crewmembers will be knocking on doors.
