Old Farm – Eden Prairie
Wednesday, October 28th – RAIN DELAY
Greetings and welcome to the official blog for painting project at Old Farm in Eden Prairie. We are thrilled to be onsite with you!
Wednesday, October 28th: After a couple of favorable days earlier in the week, rain has once again reared its ugly head at Old Farm and work has come to a halt. While this will delay all work for today, it will also delay work on the decks probably until Friday as they will need adequate time to dry. Hopefully, work will resume tomorrow on the trim areas, as there are approximately three buildings left to complete. We are keeping a close watch on the weather and will work as needed to complete the project before mother nature decides we are done outside for the year.
Thanks for checking in!
One of the sidelights receives a fresh coat of paint at Old Farm. What a great contrast with the autumn colors!
Known in painter circles as the “Sultan of Spray,” Jaime finishes one of the garage doors at Old Farm.
Friday, October 23rd: Obviously, rain has halted progress at Old Farm but not before the guys were able to complete garage door/garage door frames, and window trim painting completed on 7 buildings. 8 decks have been scraped, and 2 have been primed thus far as well. At this rate, we are still projecting that the project will be completed by the end of the week next week. Stay tuned.
Tuesday, October 20th: Good morning Old Farm! Today looks to be another gorgeous day which can only mean that we continue our assault on the impending low temps and work continues. Yesterday, and continuing into today, the fellas will will be working on the 228 windows designated for completion. Prep will also get underway on your front door frames and garage door frames. We kindly ask that if there is any signs of prep work (tape/primer, etc…)please leave it in place until the work is complete – the crew will remove upon completion.
As you look at your windows, ala Stevie Ray Vaughn, you’ll see freshly painted trim!
Wednesday, October 14th: Right before our very eyes, somehow it’s already October 14th! How did that happen?! With that being said, the good news is that we are having a bit of an Indian summer and we are cautiously optimistic that we can complete the painting project at Old Farm before the sun sets (literally and figuratively) on our exterior painting season.
Among the items we will be completing select decking areas (excluding floors), painting of a total of 228 windows, 76 garage door frames, and the performance of miscellaneous carpentry repairs throughout the association.
We anticipate that the project will take approximately two weeks to complete and we will keep you fully apprised of the progress right here on the blog.
Thanks everybody…see you tomorrow!
