Park Crest on Nicollet- Burnsville

Project Complete

Greetings and welcome to the official blog for the painting project at Park Crest on Nicollet in Burnsville. We are so happy you found our blog and we look forward to working with you!

Friday, October 28th: Happy Friday folks! Issac and Alfred were onsite today taking care of our touch up list and making sure we have crossed our T’s and dotted our I’s. It has been a pleasure working with and for you at Park Crest and we appreciate all of your feedback and constant communication. We hope you all have a great rest of the year!

Monday, October 24th: Great news, we have the majority of your project complete and are working to identify all areas that may need touch ups, cleaning up, or any other attention. We want to make sure you are all completely satisfied with our work and we want to thank you again for your cooperation and patience as this project has proved to be a bit more challenging than we thought.

Friday, October 21st: Happy Friday folks! The weekend is right around the corner. If you’re a Gopher fan, it’s Homecoming this weekend. They play Rutgers at 11am on Saturday and there’s a parade on campus tonight if you’re looking for something fun to do.

Painting continues in the courtyard area and on the final side of the building.

Painting continues for the final side of the Park Crest building.

Prepped and painted @ Park Crest.

Thursday, October 20th: Good morning residents of Park Crest. We hope you’re having a great week thus far. It seems as though the crisp and cool fall weather is here to stay. We’re continuing to make our way around the courtyard and finish up the painting.

Tuesday, October 18th: We’re going to keep on, keepin’ on over in the courtyard at Park Crest. The crew is pushing to complete the project this week as long as Mother Nature doesn’t throw any curveballs our way. But it looks like we’re in the clear with dry weather for the rest of the week.

Courtyard prep and paint continues through the week.

Monday, October 17th: Good afternoon residents of Park Crest. We hope you all had a great weekend and enjoyed the beautiful weather! Painting holds steady in the courtyard. We’re hopeful to be done by the end of the week.

Friday, October 14th: Happy Friday everyone! We’re looking forward to the weekend ahead. We are continuing to make our way around to paint the courtyard.

Keeping it strong in the courtyard.

Thursday, October 13th: Good afternoon residents @ Park Crest. We hope you’re having a great week so far and staying warm with these cooler temps we’ve been having. The crew is still at it in the courtyard area.

A whole lot of taping happening on the courtyard balconies.

Wednesday, October 12th: Greetings residents of Park Crest. Painting continues in the courtyard area of building.

Prep and tape work in the courtyard.

Railings, brick, and windows taped and ready.

Tuesday, October 11th: Our apologies for any confusion with pressure washing yesterday. There was some miscommunication with the notices and blog updates. Dana, our Office Manager was in Chicago supporting her sisters run the Chicagao Marathon this weekend and we apologize for any inconvenience this caused. The south elevation/courtyard has been pressure washed and this morning we are working to get a scissor lift into the courtyard area to access the higher areas of the building. We anticipate the courtyard taking about 1-2 weeks to complete.

Thursday, October 6th: Good morning Park Crest! We hope you’re having a great week thus far. The crew is continuing their work on the west side of the building today.

A view of ‘higher ground‘ from the aerial lift.

Tuesday, October 4th: We’re hoping that this rain clears out soon and we can get back to working on the west side. Thanks!

Monday, October 3rd: Good afternoon residents of Park Crest. We hope you enjoyed the gorgeous weather we had this weekend! The crew is working on the northwest side of the building as well as the west side.

The lift is close to turning the corner to the west side of building.

Friday, September 30th: Happy Friday ya’ll! It is such a beautiful day and we hope you’re as excited as we are for this sun-shiny weather! And the better news is that there is a several-day stretch of this weather. The crew is still trucking along on the north side and also pressure washing the west side so we can seemlessly move from one area to the next.

Any golf fans? Maybe you’ve been following the Ryder Cup frenzy in Chaska. It looks pretty awesome! We’ll be cheering on Dustin Johnson, Jordan Spieth, and the rest of Team USA. Have a great weekend!

We’ve moved the big guns to the west side to aid in pressure washing.

Wednesday, September 28th: Good afternoon residents of Park Crest. We’re still making our way across the north end of building. Good news, we’re scheduled to pressure wash the west side of the building on Friday.

Monday, September 26th: We hope everyone had a great weekend. We’re continuing on the north end of the building and are hopeful with the weather’s cooperation we will complete it this week. We will likely move ahead to pressure wash the west elevations and courtyard this week, an exact day is TBD. We’ll then begin prep and painting in these areas simultaneous to that of the north end to expedite the finishing schedule.

Again, we want to reiterate our gratitude for everyone’s patience on this project. With all of the rain we’ve had, there have been instances of prolonged areas being covered and we appreciate your understanding to this circumstance. But you can be assured that we are committed to working as diligently as possible to ensure a great end result. While we can’t control the weather, you can continue to count on our responsiveness and thorough communication every step of the way.

Friday, September 23rd: Happy Friday everyone! We hope you all had a great week. Our crew is onsite continuing their work on the north side of the building.

Thursday, September 22nd: Hello residents at Park Crest. We hope you all survived the crazy rain last night and are safe. As you could imagine, with all the rain things are pretty wet and our crew won’t be out today. When things dry a bit, most likely tomorrow, they’ll be back in action.

Tuesday, September 20th: Our crew continues to work on the north side of the building.

The guys are going strong at Park Crest.

Monday, September 19th: Happy Monday residents of Park Crest. Our crew is continuing their work on the north side of the building. Once we get the north side completed we’ll move on to the west side of the building. We’re hopeful Mother Nature will pull through this week. Stay tuned for more progress updates this week.

Friday, September 16th: Happy Friday everyone! We have a longer update this week so buckle up. We didn’t make it through an entire week without rain, but we are doing our best to work around Mother Nature. While we were hoping to have the East/North elevations completed by the end of the week, that will likely not happen, so we are looking at completing those areas by early next week. And the crew will not be working on Sunday.

Once we start on the West elevation east to mid next week, residents will need to be mindful that access to the Nicollet entrance will be limited, as the aerial boom will be limited in use and for safety reasons, we would encourage people, if possible, to enter the building by alternative means while work is being performed, which we anticipate will take about 1 week.

The the final phase will be the courtyard. We wil be utilizing a different aerial lift for these areas which will be delivered onsite and again, we encourage residents in the courtyard to exercise caution as needed.

Lastly, we’ve had some concerns about some overspray and in speaking with the job supervisor Alfred, he has assured that the crew has taken, and will continue to take the necessary measures to prevent overspray.

In other news, it’s a big weekend for football in Minnesota. The Border Battle showcasing the Vikings vs. Packers for the regular season home opener at U.S. Bank Stadium is on Sunday night. Our office is divided and sporting their team apparel today. It should be a good game!

Monday, September 12th: Good afternoon residents of Park Crest. We hope you all enjoyed the weekend and the sunnier skies and cooler temps! Our crew is finishing up the east side of the building today. They’re also covering park of the north side to prep for painting.

Friday, September 9th: So unfortunately with 3/4 painting days being rain days this week a whole lot didn’t get accomplished. We apologize that the units with window coverings/plastic on them will remain so until rain subsides and we can prime and paint. Depending on how the weather holds up, it could be this afternoon. Just as a head’s up, the crew will most likely be onsite Saturday. They’ve been informed to take up only the space necessary for the lift so the other parking spots are available. Stay tuned for further updates and have a great weekend!

Continuing into the weekend is the 38th Annual Burnsville Fire Muster! And with the weather looking perfect for being outside, go check it out!

Wednesday, September 7th: After a long holiday weekend and some rainy weather- here we are. As you may have noticed, we brought out our ‘big guns’ today with a major lift onsite. The lift will help up to reach the higher elevations. Although we’ve had some rain delays, as soon as it clears up our crew will be back at it.

Friday, September 2nd: Good morning residents of Park Crest! We’ve posted a map of the building for reference of when painting will be completed in your area. We’ll begin on the east side of the building on 1st Avenue, then the north side on 125th Street, and then the west side on Nicollet Avenue. Homeowners on the 3rd and 4th floors should follow the blog for our finishing schedule for those units. Since those areas can only be accessed by the lift it will be very apparent where the crew will be working.

We’ll finish up pressure washing the lower areas of the outside today, but when the lift is onsite, Tuesday 9/6 we’ll be performing additional cleaning on the areas that weren’t reachable by ladder.

We wish you all a great holiday weekend!

Thursday, September 1st: And we are off!   The crew and Nick Roell were on the property this morning starting the pressure washing.   The pressure washing will take several days to complete.   The goal over the next two days is to wash all the areas that are accessible by ladder and complete the remaining pressure washing/ cleaning on Tuesday, September 6th when the aerial lifts arrive.

When the aerial lift arrives on Tuesday, we ask that any residents who typically park on the east elevation parking lot to refrain from doing so over the next week.   We will need that space to safely operate the boom lift.

Reaching tall to pressure wash the best we can until an aerial lift arrives next week.

Tuesday, August 30th:  Perhaps you’ve found your way to our blog by way of email from your property manager, Justin at Paradise & Associates, welcome! The painting project with be completed over the next 3-4 weeks, depending on the weather Mother Nature throws at us.

Our crew will be pressure washing the perimeter of the building later this week and the painting will commence after the holiday next week. We’ll complete pressure washing for residents on the courtyard at a later date. We’ll need a different lift for this portion, so stay tuned when that will happen.

Stay tuned here for ongoing project updates as they will be provided 2-3 times per week. Thanks so much for having us and we’re looking forward to getting things underway!
