Projected finishing schedule at Lohman’s Amhurst- Updated 8/10

Tuesday, August 15th: Hello Old Farm! We’re less than 10 days out from the start of the MN Fair and Today’s Al Roker has announced he’ll be onsite to live broadcast on opening day, August 24th. There’s a chance also to win tickets to the live broadcast. We can already smell the fried goodness.

The crews will be completing touch ups today and tomorrow, weather permitting on buildings #23-36. The final walk through will also be happening Thursday, 8/17.

Monday, August 14th: Good afternoon residents of Lohman’s Amhurst!

The crew finished up on the last few buildings on Satuday. They’ll be back onsite Tuesday/Wednesday to complete touch ups on the last 13 buildings (#23-36).

Thank you so much for all of your cooperation and patience as this was a large undertaking for our crews to complete 36 buildings. But it has been our pleasure being onsite and working with and for you!

Friday, August 11th: TGIF! After 2 rain days, the crews are back onsite and it’s safe to say this gorgeous weather is approved! Looks like we’ll have another great day tomorrow!

The crew are painting on the remaining couple buildings today and tomorrow. We’ll see how far they get, but they may finish up tomorrow or Monday.

Have a great weekend!

Wednesday, August 9th: Good morning! It seems as though Mother Nature has other plans than to continue painting your buildings today. Rain for the rest of today and potentially into tomorrow. We’ll keep you updated as to when the crew will return once the rain subsides and the substrates have had time to dry. Thanks!

Tuesday, August 8th: Hello and good afternoon!  As we continue into August, the reality of back to school and the ‘end of summer’ is creeping closer. If you haven’t had a chance to go to a movie in the park, this week there are several options from the Minneapolis Park and Recreation: Ghostbusters, Drop Dead Gorgeous, and Moana. Movies begin 15 minutes after sunset.

Friday, August 4th: Hello and TGIF! It’s a beautiful day and we’ve made it to the weekend! There’s a lot happening around the cities this weekend. The Uptown and Powderhorn Art Festivals are happening throughout the weekend, various farmer’s markets, and if you’re up for traveling a bit, Wefest is taking Detroit Lakes by storm with their stellar line up of country starts! Have a great weekend!

The crews are back onsite and prepping and painting on the next set of buildings (#16-19). They’ll begin the next grouping tomorrow as well (#20-23).

Wednesday, August 2nd: Good afternoon and happy hump day! We hope you had an enjoyable National Night Out last night.

Phase II of pressure washing is underway.

First we’ll clean the siding, then prep, then paint.

Tuesday, August 1st: Good morning! Tonight is National Night Out. It is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and strengthening neighborhood camaraderie. This is all done in an effort to promote safer and more caring places to live. So check out what your neighborhood has planned and join in National Night Out!

The crew is starting buildings #11-15 today. It seems as though they’ll be working through 4 buildings a day and we’ll do our best to keep you fully updated on the schedule.

Monday, July 31st: Good morning Lohman’s Amhurst. We hope you all had a great weekend! And just like that we’re closing out July and coming into August.

The crew is finished with Building #1-4 and will start with prep and painting on Buildings #5-10 today.

As a head’s up for later this week, the crew will be pressure washing buildings #16-36 on Wednesday, 8/2 and Thursday, 8/3 this week. We’ll also be posting notices to alert residents of the pressure washing. For the pressure washing we ask that you please move any small and/or personal items from the outside of your home/deck to allow for safe and unobstructed access for washing and painting. It’s not necessary to clear your deck completely.

We plan to post subsequent notices regarding the specific time we’ll be onsite prepping and painting your building. We will also be updating the finishing schedule posted above as we know how quickly the crew are painting each building.

Priming in action.

Monday, July 24th: Good afternoon residents of Lohman’s Amhurst! We hope you all had a great weekend and enjoyed the gorgeous weather!

The crews are underway and pressure washing the first set of buildings (#1-15). They’ll likely be back onsite tomorrow to finish up the pressure washing and then they’ll begin the prep and painting on Thursday, 7/27.

The first step is spraying and cleaning the surfaces.

Our crew is thorough to get all surfaces.

Once the substrates have dried, the crew will be back to begin prepping and painting.

No spot left un-sprayed!

Thursday, July 20th: Hello and welcome to your official blog! We are thrilled to be working with and for you this summer! For this year’s project we’ll be painting select wood substrates on the exterior of your home including: lap siding and window bump outs.

We’ll begin on Monday, 7/24 and Tuesday, 7/25 with pressure washing Buildings #1-15. Please see the site map above as we’ve designated building numbers starting at the north end of the association and then working our way down Independence Ave., and then counter clockwise onto Gettysburg Ave.

For pressure washing, we kindly ask that you move any small and/or personal items from the outside of your home/deck to allow for safe and unobstructed access for washing and painting. Note- it is not necessary to completely clear the contents of your deck or patio.

Once the substrates have had adequate time to dry, the crew will return to begin prepping and finishing of the included surfaces. We anticipate this to begin on Thursday, 7/27.

We have also posted an anticipated finishing schedule so you can be apprised of when we’ll pressure wash, prep, and then paint your building. The blog will also be updated several times a week with progress update, pictures, and any changes to the schedule or weather delays that may come up.

Thanks so much and we looking forward to being onsite next week!
