Project Welcome Video

Monday, September 15th:

Greetings all – we are getting close to finishing all of the work at Lohman’s Amhurst. We have the crew onsite today but later this week we will be performing a walkthrough to ensure we have not missed anything. Thanks again for all of the patience this summer! We could not have done the work without the support of the residents. We appreciate your partnership!

Wednesday, September 10th:

Happy Wednesday! The crew is working on Building #35 #36 as well as shutters on Building #27 and #28. Below are some pictures of the crew in action. We were also on the scene at the bus stop which is a really nice amenity of the association! Hope you have a great rest of your week and we’ll be hoping to get some updates before we head into the later part of the week.

Thursday, September 4th:

Good morning all – the team is hard at work on Building #31 and #32 today. As you can see we are taking a lot of care to make sure that we cover the items below and work around the plants and vegetation onsite. We will continue to make progress and may work into weekends in order to make sure we get the work completed before any fall weather starts to turn too chilly! Additionally, we know that everyone is ready to have all of the exteriors completed and ready to enjoy the rest of summer / fall. We will have an update for you tomorrow; please note that the blog updates typically do not occur on weekends so Monday’s update will contain updates from the weekend.

Wednesday, September 3rd:

Hello all – you may have noticed we were not active yesterday and that is due to the rain that we experienced in the metro area early in the morning. Fortunately, today we’ve got clearer skies and we are busy working on Building #29 and #30 today. Below are some photos of the crew in action today. We hope you all had a nice Labor Day weekend!

Thursday, August 28th:

Greetings and happy Thursday to all and happy almost Labor Day weekend! The crew has been hard at work this week – check out some of the action shots below. We will be giving you an update tomorrow on the plan leading into the end of the week/weekend. We hope you are all enjoying this nice dry stretch of weather – it has been great for exterior painting!

Monday, August 25th:

Happy Monday to all! We’re back after a little rain delay last week and here are some progress photos of the crews on Building #8, #9, #10 and #11 today.

Friday, August 22nd:

Greetings all – we are rain delayed today but here are some photos of earlier in the week. We plan to be back onsite tomorrow, Saturday, if the weather allows. In the meantime, here are some photos to help you visualize sunnier summer skies!

Thursday, August 14th:

Hello all – we wanted to let you know that we will be onsite, weather permitting, tomorrow to resume the exterior painting. The crew will plan to start at Building Group #1 and work in sequential order.

Tuesday, July 29th:

Hello all – we wanted to let you know that we are close to getting a decision on paint colors and will start updating you on painting progress as soon as we have been directed by the Board leadership. Thank you!

Wednesday, July 23rd:

Hello all – check out some photos of some additional prep work from the last few days on Building 33 and 34. We are fairly close to getting all of the prep done in anticipation of painting.

Wednesday, July 16th:

We are rain delayed today but we are planning to be back onsite soon to continue preparing the buildings for painting. We will update you when we have a directive on when painting will resume.

Friday, July 11th:

Happy Friday to all – apologies if anyone checked the blogs yesterday – we experienced an outage from our hosting provider but we are back online today!

The crew has been busy prepping exteriors for the main painting of siding to occur. The crew is getting ahead on prep to allow the primer to dry before the top coats. and were working today on Building Group #6 and Building Group #7. Check out the photos below:

Have a good weekend and we will see you all next week on the blog!

Tuesday, July 8th:

Happy Tuesday to all – the crew was busy working on the preparation of the exteriors by scraping and putting primer on and getting it ready for the main color to be applied. Additionally, the crew was hard at work painting the bus stop at the association.

Monday, July 7th:

Happy Monday and a great big thank you to the board at Lohman’s Amhurst who supplied ice cold water and energy drinks to to our team onsite on July 4 – we truly appreciate your partnership and looking out for our team onsite during the hottest time of the year. We are back at it today and working on the garage door frames. We are planning to begin the main siding on Monday, July 14th as long as weather permits.

Thursday, July 3rd:

Happy almost 4th of July to all! The crew is working to complete all of the pressure washing prior to Monday, July 7th when the focus will shift to be on prep / painting of the buildings. The crew will be working as needed over the 4th of July holiday in order to meet that deadline but we believe all pressure washing will wrap up by the end of the day today. If we have more substantial updates we will do our best to update everyone here on the blog.

Wednesday, July 2nd:

Hello to everyone at Lohman’s Amhurst – here is a recap of what has been happening since last Friday:

Pressure washing has proceeded and is completed per the table above. The crew will continue to move through the building groups and will likely be working for part of July 4 in order to make progress. We are also working through the accent trim on Building Group 1-5. There will be more updates to come as we move through the pressure washing and painting.

Friday, June 27th:

Happy Friday to everyone! The crew is back onsite today and busy washing Building #3 with plans to move to Building #4 ,#5 and #6 later in the morning/early afternoon. Later on today, we will have an idea if the crew will extend work into the weekend, i.e., on Saturday. It is a possibility, so probably best to prepare for our team to be onsite pressure washing. Thanks so much for your patience as we work to move through the pressure washing and begin accent trim painting on Monday, June 30th. Below are some action shots from today:

As we come into next week – a reminder that Friday is a U.S. holiday and our crew will not be working on July 4th.

Thanks and have a great last weekend of June!

Thursday, June 26th:

Hello all! We kicked off the pressure washing yesterday and had a little help from Mother Nature. The pressure washing continues today. Check out some photos from the crew at work. You will see that we pressure washed the pool house and building group #1. We plan to continue pressure washing and still aim to begin prep / painting early next week, assuming the weather cooperates! More to come on the progress of the pressure washing. Until then, stay dry and under an umbrella!

Thursday, June 19th: Welcome to your project blog for the upcoming painting project. We are looking forward to refreshing your exteriors!

Please be advised that our crews will soon begin preparation for the upcoming painting project within your community. We anticipate starting pressure washing on the 1st building in our proposed sequence on:

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 25TH

We anticipate that washing all buildings in the community will take approximately 5 – 7 working days to complete. To ensure safe and unobstructed access for our crew, we kindly ask that residents please move any small personal belongings or items they do not wish to get wet indoors ahead of time. Once the surfaces have had adequate time to dry, the crew will return to begin preparation and painting of the siding, bay window bump-outs, shutters & garage door frames. We are currently planning to begin the first building on:

MONDAY, JUNE 30TH (Weather permitting)

The full scope of work is expected to take approximately 4 – 6 weeks to complete, though each individual unit will require significantly less time. We kindly request all homeowners to remain mindful of wet paint and painters working on ladders when entering or existing their units. Roell Painting Company is not responsible for any damage to clothing or personal items that may come into contact with wet paint. We understand this project may temporarily impact your daily routine and we appreciate your patience and cooperation. Our team will work efficiently to complete the work promptly so everyone can enjoy the summer. To stay up to date on project progress, scheduling updates (including weather delays), and other important information, please check back here often!

If you have any immediate questions or concerns, please reach out to the contacts below.  Email is the preferred form of communication.

We are looking forward to getting started and working with and for you again this summer!
